Hot air on drivers side and cold on passangers

Recommended Posts

I have a 2015 Ford Edge Titanium and it's loaded. Most conversations and on YouTube I'm finding is mostly earlier model edges and if it a Titanium after 2015 very little knowledge of any replacement parts or problem resolutions.  Has anyone ever had to replace the blend actuator or actuators on the HVAC? This ride has 4 actuators 2 on each side and addressed as (A) and (B) actuators- one of each on both sides. I guessing that's due to having the dual option. Note: many suggest removing the panel at your knees under steering wheel for access but mine has an airbag there. Any help will be appreciated.

Not saying this is a fix, but. I had a 15 MKC with is same issue. It turned out to be the car battery going bad. Believe it or not, it still started but hot air on drivers side, cold on passenger side. Might be worth checking the battery to see how old it is, mine was only 2 1/2 years old.

Just to clarify your question, in the case of hot air output on left side and cold air output on right side, is desired goal AC/cold air output temperature on both sides?

The following illustration and component listing from the 2015 Edge Workshop Manual shows the location and function of the four actuators you mention...

Good luck!
