SqEdge Posted May 30, 2022 Report Share Posted May 30, 2022 I have a 2007 Ford Edge with 261000 miles on it I also have a 2014 ford Taurus SHO with 70000 miles on it that's totaled. How hard would it be to swap the Turbo engine and transmission out of the SHO into my 07 ? One reason I'm thinking of doing this change is I've got a months worth of labor installing a custom carstereo into this ford edge and I'd rather not have to do it again in another vehicle. Also the sho engine can make great power if tuned correctly. The interceptor tune puts it at 425hp 465tq. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

WWWPerfA_ZN0W Posted May 31, 2022 Report Share Posted May 31, 2022 wont physically fit. the heads and turbos basically are in the way. you would need the entire drivetrain/axles too, plus a custom length driveshaft most likely. now if you are really going to customize it, maybe do the 3.0 TT swap that SpecialK did in the gen 2 sport. i think it would be a better expenditure of time and money. still customization involved, not a dropin type project, but results worth it.
