TPMS and Keyless Entry problem - Ford Edge 2022

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, this is my first post here and I have some problems ;).

In my Ford Edge Sel 2022 2.0EB (US version) it does not detect the remote control and tire pressure sensors.

The first problem is not related to the remote control itself (it has a good battery, it is encoded as an admin key). The remote control itself is recognized in the backup slot inside the center console, so I can drive.

The second problem remains despite using the procedure with tpms activator.

Perhaps both problems are related to one sensor: https://www.searchfordparts.com/oem-parts/ford-tire-pressure-monitoring-system-tpms-receiver-ml3z15607x?c=Zz1lbGVjdHJpY2FsJnM9a2V5bGVzcy1lbnRyeS1jb21wb25lbnRzJmw9MyZuPUFzc2VtYmxpZXMgUGFnZSZhPWZvcmQmbz1lZGdlJnk9MjAyMiZ0PXNlbCZlPTItMGwtbDQtZ2Fz

Where to locate it - do you have any photos, diagrams and installation diagrams?
Or maybe some other tips?

The fob does the following:

  • button presses to lock/unlock, does that work?
  • proximity lock unlock (hand behind handle to unlock), does that work?
  • once in the cabin sensed and allows starting (this doesn't work)

If it is just the inside proximity and it saying key not found unless you use the emergency backup slot, and TPMS doesn't work, I do think that module you link to does both inside the vehicle.

This thread shows the RTM location on a 2018. The module is different year to year, but probably in the same location.

This should be the matching part: https://dealer.parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/electrical/control-modules/transceiver-keyless-entry-receiver-p-ml3z15607k

I'll try to find it and check the RTM, thanks for your help.

Signature updated.

The car is no longer under warranty.
My Edge was imported to Europe from the USA, hence the problem with finding a specialist with appropriate information such as diagrams of modules and sensors.

And in this topic I will let you know if the problem is the RTM in the headliner at the back of the car.

The problem was exactly the module number ML3Z-15607-K (designation on the part itself ML3T-15K619-JA).
After replacing it, all problems disappeared. Thanks.

What do you mean by designation on the part itself? Was ML3T-15K619-JA on the sticker of the part, but ML3Z-15607-K was on the website?
