20" factory wheels leak air even with new tires

Hello,

I have a question about the 20" factory wheels that are on my 2012 Ford Edge AWD. I just replaced the tires with a set of the factory Pirelli's that would have originally came on my Edge. I had the new set installed at Discount Tire. I understand that aluminum wheels will leak air, in the wintertime, but it's starting to warm up now, and it continues to happen. I haven't hit any curbs, maybe an occasion pothole, but the car hasn't been driven much the past 3 years. I found a set of American Racing Torq Thrust wheels that I would like to buy for it, but I don't know how to figure out the offset for the wheel, and the all-wheel drive suspension. My dad used to be my mechanic, and he would be able to help me out with these issues, unfortunately he passed away in 22, and I don't always trust these fly by night businesses to be honest with me, when I ask questions. Sorry, I know these are probably common-sense questions, but I need some advice.

Thank you, appreciate it!

More or less,  all wheels will leak some air over time.

How much air are you leaking?  1lb a day?  10lbs a day?  Need more information.   Discount Tire may not have been the best place to go for tires but it's all dependent on the people who work there.

Maybe they didn't do the best job on the install.  Unknown.

This is your only option, according to American Racing Wheels:   https://www.americanracing.com/american-racing-vintage-torq-thrust-ii-1-pc

If you are looking for something different in sizing, then you have to be more specific in what you are looking for.

How did I determine this?  By going to American Racing Wheels website and looking for what they offer for your year / model car in their 20" wheels because that is what you specifically asked about.

However, if you go here:   https://www.wheel-size.com/size/ford/edge/2012/#region-usdm

  -  You will see that your wheel offset for your vehicle runs between  38mm to 42mm.

  -  If you look at those American Racing wheels, you will see that American Racing states that those specific wheels have a 0 mm offset.  If it were me, I would not get those American Racing wheels.

There are many places on-line you can get wheels, in all shapes and sizes, that will fit your vehicle.  Your wallet will be your only limitation.

Just as an example, you can look here:  https://www.elementwheels.com/wheels/ford/edge/2007-2014?find=2012-ford-edge-v13842&filters[wheel_size_d][0]=20&filters[bolt_pattern][0]=5x114.3%2F4.5&filters[custom_built][0]=No

Use a website that allows you to choose specifics for your desires.  When you call them for more info, if they do not offer pleasant an very good customer service, hang up and try somewhere else.

I am pretty sure I used " Wheels for Less " years ago, but there website is no longer as sophisticated as " Element Wheels " is today.
