Has anyone been able to have this recall work done? Ford# 25S87 / NHTSA Recall 25V544

I tried to schedule an appointment for the brake hose replacement on my 2015 Edge 2 months ago and the dealer said they had not gotten approval from Ford to do the work. I called the parts dept. just to see if they had the new hoses and was told they had them in stock. What's going on here? Has anyone else had this problem getting the rear brake hoses replaced?

Carfax shows "Status: Remedy Not Yet Available".

 

Could it be that the local Ford parts department has stock of the old hoses?

Ok, I just got this  "remedy available" notice from Ford. It seems replacement is only available now if the rear brake hose(s) are damaged or are leaking. They will inspect them first, and if found to be damaged or leaking will replace them. Apparently Ford will will repair later if a failure shows up in a 15 year window. I wonder if that is 15 years from new?

I just got this letter today, saying the fix is available.  I just happened to put my Edge in the shop a couple of days ago to fix another TPMS sensor, and have another one replaced under warranty (they replace it a few months ago, and it failed).  I had them check the recall also, and I don't know if they found it bad or not, but they replaced it anyway.  So I should be good to go for the potential brake problem, and hopefully all my TPMS sensors.  I will be giving this car to my son, who will use it until he gets back on his feet, then give it to his son.  That was the deal I made with him.  So I wanted to make sure the car was all serviced up and as good as can be.
