1004ron
The symptoms you describe suggest it was in "Limp Mode" but if that was the case the CEL would be on and a code set. What are you using to scan for codes?
Summers22
I am using a TopDon Artidiag500. Thats the odd thing, no check engine light. Part of me things it could be a torque converter issue and a transmission drain and fill would help. Google AI says all symptoms point to a bad battery, I did replace it in August of 25 and did the BMS reset with the same scanner.
1004ron
Based on many reports here and elsewhere I don't have much confidence in scan tools other than Forscan. If there really isn't any related codes then it will need more in depth diagnostics - display live data such as fuel trims etc.

If the alternator is working I don't see how the bad battery will cause the symptoms you describe.

All depends on how much the OP's daughter has been driving the car. This could again be one of those things where there is a battery drain due to sensors on 24/7 even while the car sits unused. The drain can cause all sorts of weird codes to pop up. If he comes back and says, " It's all fixed " then issue solved as well as the culprit.
