Same boat here. Ordered on Oct. 29th. Have talked to the dealer weekly. Just think, all the MFT problems will be solved by the time we get the car...(wishful thinking?)

I spent 40+ years in Ont. and never had snow tires and 8 years on the rock without snows but have been inquiring about the snow tires people are using on the Edge. No snow in Central NL yet. Safe trip.

Any thoughts on extended warranty for the 2011 Edge. Anyone purchasing the extended warranty, costs etc.

Great review. Mine as been on order for 6 weeks and still no Edge. I am a Garmin Nuvi man myself and I know, like you, I will be disappointed in the Nav. System. Oh well, can't have it all. Do you have winter tires or all seasons?

So that's what happened to the Metro Dome...vibration from the Edge with the 22" wheels. lol

Shane did you get the tire pressure sensors or are you just ignoring the low tire pressure warning light...trying to get ahead of the game for when we get our Edge.

What winters did you put on the Edge. Are they 17's or 18's.

Yes, they usually sit in the yard in Halifax for a week or so. As long as they give me a loaner I really don't care if they hold it til April or whenever the snow disappears...whatever comes first LOL. No snow here yet and supposed to be 5-8C all next week with rain.

Shane I have talked to them a couple times and I will be checking again this coming week. It looks like it will be after Christmas before we get the Edge. My previous car was a lease and it's going back on Wednesday or Thur. of this coming week. The Ford dealer is giving us a loaner until the Edge arrives. So no complaints. On Tue. I will be receiving the products you suggested from eshine for detailing. You & yours have a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year.

Great stuff Shane. Glad you enjoy the ride. I don't even have a VIN yet for the Limited I ordered the end of Oct. Actually no big deal, gives Ford more time to fix all the software problems.

@mleber my sentiments exactly. I like the good and the bad but please guys/gals don't post the same thing on every thread. It's boring and more than that it becomes ignored by the vast majority.

I to feel for her. I ask myself what would I do If my 40T+ car was in the garage for a month. I think the problem was that she post the same thing on every thread instead of on just the appropriate one. I don't have a problem with anyone airing their beefs or complaining (squeaky wheel gets the grease) but do it in a reasonable manner and not continuously.

I also feel for all that are having problems with their car but the hijacking of every thread is overboard. Carrie you can do more good by voicing your opinions on the forum and helping to improve it rather than quitting. I have been on many forums and this one I find is a bit disorganized. Many people start topics on a new thread when their is already a thread on the go with basically the same topics. I have had an Edge on order for 6 weeks and haven't even received the VIN yet but maybe that's all good because by the time I get it some (most) of the problems will have been solved. Keep the faith Carrie and keep on contributing.

No I haven't really worked up the chain but dropped into the dealer today and he checked with the manager and nada. One consolation, all software updates will (should) be done before I receive it.

Ordered my 2011 Limited Oct. 29/10 and still no VIN. Actually checked today. So that's almost 6 weeks.

I have the Edge on order. The one thing I regret is not ordering the Adaptive Cruise. I ordered the end of Oct. and so far I don't have a VIN so probably won't receive the car til the latter part of Dec. At least that will allow more time to correct some of the MFT problems.

I got my financing for 1.99%. Someone mentioned they have brought back the $1000. Costco membership thing. I don't have a costco membership. I wonder if I signed up before the edge arrives...will they recognize it lol...not likely

As far away from AK as I can get lol. We are in Newfoundland. We were on a long long vacation. New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Wyoming, Utah, Montana, Calgary, Yukon and AK. Put approx 30,000 km on the van. I have ordered the j2011 Edge Ltd. Really enjoyed AK, it is like Newfoundland in a lot of ways.

Choff tell me about the rock dings...spent time driving Alaska this past summer...4 dings. Of course I drove the Top of the World Hwy Yukon to AK and then up toward Prudoe Bay (not all the way) so what can one expect lol.

I went in on the ford.ca site and checked the incentives for the 2011 edge limited and they didn't show incentives. Of course when you put in your postal code, for me it comes up as Atlantic Canada. Not sure if they have different incentives for different areas. Good luck, hope you get the better price.
