My headlight assemblies remain untouched then?

So by adding HID units will anything have to be modified besides the wiring harness?

I turned off the climate system and still heard the noise.

2011 Edge All Weather Floor Mats
nextime replied to rbuergel's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Call Weathertech and ask them, I do not think there are any Weathertech design Employees here that would have that answer. Everybody here who had an answer actually called Weathertech. Call them and post your info. -
What an awesome dealer you have, the tech did work and never checked to see if it actually worked. If the tech did the job correctly they would have let you know about the Lincoln logo or would have redone the job correctly!

How did Civic's get thrown into the discussion? Do Honda's or Mitsubishi's come with HID's? Inquiring minds want to know!

I agree colored lights just scream out "Hey pull me over, my lights are illegal"! If you go with a stock look no cop will ever know the difference!

Hey if this vehicle was so well built what so many issues here with the same problems? It is a design flaw. Lots of cars are built with design flaws, no vehicle ever built is perfect.

Pickup new Edge Saturday-what inspection needed
nextime replied to hancop's topic in Owner Impressions
Look over the paint for chips and dents. Check the VIN to see if it matches. Check all options to see if they are there. I am sure it will be perfect. I used to do this job years ago at a Ford dealer and I never had one complaint setting up new cars for delivery. -
I have the same noise. It seems like it is just a design flaw from Ford. I do not get wind or have leaks in the car. All cars have certain characteristics built into them..... my 1989 Rangers antenna would howl and vibrate like hell over 55mph if it got any ice built up on it. To fix the issue I put one of the newer twisted style Ford antennas on it and the issue went away. Since there are so many posts about this one subject I would say this issue is just a annoying built in feature we all have.

I have the stock 17' and it handles perfect and has solid traction. The bigger/fatter tires and you will have less traction.
-
What is wrong with drilling holes? I have done it for years with no issues.

Ok in post #22 show me on the Ford website where all these facts are?
-
Hopefully some aftermarket company will come up with real fog lights to put in these spaces.
-
Wow you are really black and white, if the posts dont agree to your opinions and your opinions only they are wrong and you let people know.
-
Yeah I didnt get it, please explain in layman terms for all of us to follow.

Your welcome.

I know Motorweek usually drives the vehicles long term to get the best review. Later in the year they usually do a revisit on some vehicles and let you know the long term outcome. They did give the Edge an awesome review overall, they just didnt like some of the features of the radio. Now Motorweek is one of the longest most trusted shows about cars, I doubt they drove the Edge for only a few days and just slammed the MyTouch with out actually driving it for long term, they would loose their reputation of being a trusted show. The Odometer actually says 3648.5 miles in the video so they did drive it, they dont test used vehicles. You can see Motorweek's video review here, they really didnt slam the MyTouch, they just didnt like some features. Video starts on the MyTouch about 2:14 through about 3:40. They really complain about how sensitive the buttons and how slow they can respond and how it locked up. http://video.pbs.org/video/1694268007/ Really I think most of the Issues is the unstable Microsoft system that Ford uses, hey imagine if Microsoft made cars..... They would just randomly crash for no reason!

I believe this system is geared to the younger crowd also, I really cant see too many people over the age of 50 or 60 saying I got to have this but I am sure there are lots of people that are over 50 that do want this but I am sure they probably were really up on the newest technology for years. I am 39 and I didnt believe it was worth the upgrade price to me. I will wait till there is an aftermarket upgrade. Here is a list of owners who own the vehicle and are not testing it for a day or two that are having issues. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/6240-2011-edgemkx-my-touch-and-sync-problems/ http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/1767-weird-mp3sync-problem/ Seems to me owners (not testers) are having lots of issues.

After Market Remote Start?
nextime replied to emma19832's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
Funny you asked about the bypass, that is getting installed in 2 weeks. I had issues with the radio being on and they said they had to order a bypass. They made an appointment for me and told me the part is in, they didnt say any price. It was done at American TV. -
Everything else but an audio jack...

I just looked at the MyTouch radio owners manual online, it has no jack like mine does on the MyFord radio. The MyFord radio still has this option. -

Here try this. Install Ambient Lighting.pdf

Motorweek also gave the Mytouch a Thumbs down. They said you had to rely on actually looking at the radio too much and less time with eyes on the road. They said the steering wheel controls were good. http://www.mpt.org/motorweek/reviews/rt3012a.shtml
