  1. The headlights are typically aimed too low from the factory. Check the OM for adjustment procedure. Try resetting the average MPG every time you fill up (at least). Mileage will improve over the first few thousand miles then level off. Also note that you'll have winter blend fuel for the next few months if you're in a cold state.
  2. I wasn't sure if you were expecting new things to show up on your vehicle automatically or if you were expecting a change to the syncmyride.com website. Didn't understand what "updates made to sync" was referring to.
  3. Check your preferences for shortest, fastest, greenest route and other things like whether to use major highways vs. city streets, etc. You should also have the option to choose another route.
  4. If your VIN shows it's eligible for the recall but you have not gotten a letter you need to make sure your address was entered correctly by the selling dealer so that you get future notices. Sounds like your dealer isn't too sharp. The updates have to be downloaded from Ford so it depends on how the dealer does it and the speed of their internet connection and whether it fails midstream.
  5. Since it shows the correct current direction it doesn't sound like a calibration error. It just sounds like they reversed the display order for the adjacent directions.
  6. How do you know you're affected by the recall if you didn't get the letter?

    Owners Manual

http://www.motorcraftservice.com -> owner guides This link has more documents available including the MFT and quick start guides.
  8. It's not rust - it's surface contamination on top of the paint. If it was rust then it would bubble under the paint.
  9. Could be rail dust. Easily removed with a clay bar.
  10. If it's still on then there is a problem. You could try disconnecting the negative battery cable but it's probably a loose connection somewhere.
  11. The owner's guide has basic maintenance information but if you're looking for a true shop manual the answer is no.
  12. No. You must do it every time you access the map for the first time. You can avoid it by not leaving it on the map display when you shut off the car.
  13. That does appear to be correct. Either the employee that said that was wrong or I misinterpreted.
  14. Of course they are. It would be stupid for Ford not to do that.
  15. Check your owner's manual/nav guide and see if you can rip cds to the built-in jukebox. That's the hard drive system. I don't think my 08 Limited has it.
  16. I assume he's a Ford employee so why would he do that? And even if he was willing to give you the software and you could buy the SD card on ebay, it still won't work because the SD card has to be married to the software.
  17. And why would Mike give Nav to someone who didn't pay for it (even if he could)?
  18. Where is it going to store the files while it downloads?
  19. Most incentives are only valid if they're in effect when you take delivery, not when you order. Unless this was a special offer of some type from Ford then you may not be eligible for that rebate. Better double check with the dealer.
  20. Just a clarification - "this forum" refers to the Sync community owner to owner forum, not the Edge forum.
  21. What was the $1500 incentive? Are you in Canada or the U.S.? You order the brochure from the Ford website.
  22. Could be the cooling fan continuing to run for a few minutes.
  23. Yes - Tulsa said to go to the ford owner to owner forum and make the request there to Mike and provided the link. Nobody here can get it for you.
