I received an email today from Ford in response to an email I had sent. I'm told CarPlay will be updated before the end of the year.

I believe some bug fixes. For me occasionally my contacts don't download so this may help

It's posted that the sync 3 version 1.1 is a dealer installed update. That's software

So much for WiFi enabled updates. I wonder why they couldn't go that route

Does anyone have a part # for the USB hub? I see on the F150 site some have had success in swapping out the part. Just need to wait for software update

Yes. Sirius is the only app displayed unless you plug phone in. The apps need to be running in the background ( screen can be off )

I remember something about not having private browsing enabled when I first tried applink. Not sure why it would effect apps but it did make a difference

Please check the Sync 3 version number. Maybe 2.0?

Pretty sure AA doesn't need to be plugged in

First off it would be the cost of a hardware update. Numerous sites mention something to do with a new USB module. The 2017 Escape has it so it is possible, just a matter of releasing the hardware to the dealers. Hopefully soon

It's more or less the computer that controls the display screen. Silver metal box inside the dash
