  1. Was going to get the Lincoln one until I found out the Ford part is coming this week
  2. I ordered from them and was initially told mid February also but got an email, saying it was shipping this week. Blue hub ( Ford part )
  3. Will the HC3Z-19A387-B module work for the Edge to enable CarPlay? Says it lights up blue Update: Hope so, just ordered it
  4. No. When I go back into settings a day or so later it is switched to off
  5. For some reason the enabled wifi keeps changing to off. Anyone else have this issue? And is there a way to correct it? Thanks
  6. Just called Ford Corporate and they couldn't give a date for the software release. Just that I would be notified . Ridiculous
  7. Did anyone get a price from a From for the cost of the USB hub? And installation if possible Thanks
  8. They have been there before the update. I have them there on mine and I haven't updated yet
  9. Ouch! And you both used the Nav only version? Not non Nav by mistake?
  10. I'm only guessing but I would say dealer install. Some MyFord Touch upgrades were done with a USB drive being mailed to the customer . Later you were able to copy updates from the Ford site onto USB thumb drives
  11. Sounds great guys I would like to grab the file for nav if possible and when ready. I'll give Ford till the end of the month before installing it. This is actually more important for those without Nav so hopefully that can get worked out Thanks again
  12. Sounds very close, thanks. Any change in 2.2 compared to 2.0 or 1.0? Besides CarPlay / AA?
  13. The dealer service writer mentioned the Oasis data sheet or something like that to determine what is available for who. Maybe it's that. Hopefully
  14. No, Ford didn't update the USB ports. Why? I don't know, but people have been swapping out the hubs themselves and getting CarPlay to work ( as long as Sync 2.0 is installed) . Android works fine as it doesn't need the USB hub
  15. Akirby. Not to beat a dead horse but those with version 2.0 Sync have already bought USB hubs and have it working. Or if Android it works fine doing nothing. The issue holding everything up is updating the software from version 1 to version 2. That's why I would like to know if late build models have upgraded APIMS
  16. The problem is with Ford making promises they can't deliver. Never should have told the consumer at point of sale that this was going to be added at such and such time by a software update to later find out it was also going to cost the consumer with a hardware update. If it winds up that a new updated APIM is needed do you think the consumer should pay for that? I have been purchasing Fords for many years but the customer needs honest and reliable expectations from Ford itself. Someone needs to find out if the APIM in late build models that come with Sync 3 2.0 already installed are identical with early builds. I'm thinking no
  17. Late build vehicles come with Sync 3 version 2 and if a USB hub is installed it works. I can't see the big issue here other than they don't know how to update the " updatable " software. If that's the case give us new APIMS with version 2 installed
  18. I went through the exact same thing with MyFord Touch in late 2010 and didn't expect them to do it again
  19. Unlike jmr061 I do feel your pain as I myself called both the dealer and corporate Ford yesterday. Received the same answers with the service writer confusing matters by saying some installs were made ( 2 yesterday ) because it came up on their "Oasis " system. Couldn't really get complete information out of him and asked him it was late build models that already had Sync 2.0 installed but he really didn't know. I think I knew more than he did on this topic. If Ford keeps getting frustrated and angry customer feedback via chat or phone maybe they will respond sooner. I purchased my 2016 Titanium back in April and was also told "by summer "
  20. Received an email today from Ford. Says Sync with CarPlay will be updated by the end of the year. Price for hardware to be determined by dealer Dear Thomas Miller, Thank you for the email. An update for SYNC 3 is expected to be released by the end of this year. This update will add both CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition to the update, CarPlay will require a hardware upgrade. The cost will be determined by the dealer. More information will be available once it is available.
