i have 500 miles and average 20.5mpg overall. about what i expected really. and when i fill up, it says i have 310 miles left to drive.

I have a locking gas cap arriving soon for my 2011. Mainly got it for peace of mind. But.. if it turns out to be too much of a pain I'll just sell it. I guess gas theft isn't really a huge deal around here.

I've never used any "voice commands" ever.. Is that like a big part of the 2011 Ford Edge? Should I try it out? I just installed that SIRIUS patch for the hell of it. No problems. A?fter USB installed I turned the ignition off for 30-45 seconds. Then I turned ignition back on. Screen stayed black for about 10-15 seconds. Then the Sync boot up screen appeared. Then it said completing updates. After about 30 seconds it was all done.

i think my average is 15 so far.. i have 300 miles on it.

I love my Edge. Forums just bring bad juju. Best advice, don't spend every day reading them.

One of the first 5 things i ordered when i got my Edge was a locking gas cap. It arrives tomorrow.

Suppose i wont touch my 2.4 until I really need to. I have had zero problems with my 2.4. With my luck, as soon as I flash upgrade to 2.8 I'll start having issues.

agree.. mostly snake oil. my 2010 GTI had Nitro filled tires. they lost air just like any other tire. most def wont do anything to gas mileage..

anyone that wants to waste their money on 91 feel free. coming from my last 10 turbo cars, i wouldnt do anything but 87 on this engine.

i thought 22" tires cost way more.. $250 is cheap. I have the stock Scorpion Zero things, no idea if they are any good. but i was surprised to see they only list for $250 each. I expected a 22" tire to be $350 a pop minimum.

I think I found the answer, so posting for other people: Media Player Settings: Select to access: • Autoplay on/off: With this feature on, the system will automatically switch to the media source upon intial connection and you can listen to music which has already been randomly indexed during the indexing process. With this feature off, the system will not automatically switch to the inserted media source.

Same here. They offered 18.5. Wasn't gonna happen. I said 20, and no less. And they gave in.

My thoughts? I have had 4 GTIs, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010.. all chipped. i had a 2005 wrx, chipped. i had a 2008 BMW 135i, chipped. the only cars worth chipping are turbos. It just isnt worth the money vs the return when chipping a car/truck like this.

Instead of making a new thread I'll just add to this one. I have a SD card issue. I inserted my SD card. Then i switched to other music sources. But every time I turn on the car again it always goes to the SD card and starts playing, instead of using the last source i was using. Any way to change this? I had to take my SD card out..

dealers around here need to make a minimum of $3k off a trade. in my case, they didnt even get close.

YES. I experienced this TODAY. 2nd day with the Edge. Almost crapped my pants. I had to slam it REALLY hard to get it to click, and i didnt like it one bit. but as long as nothings broken... suppose it works.

i wonder if the "sony" kit speakers are really any better.

is that whats happening?!!? i have had the Edge 24 hours and my hazards have come on 3 times!! i thought it was a software glitch. is it really that i am somehow touching the button by accident? thats actually better news than a electrical glitch. so embarassing, especially when people see my new car tags.. they prob think im a paranoid mofo driving around like an idiot with his hazards on.. but im not..

I have 3 issues on MyFordTouch so far. I got the 2011 Edge 24 hours ago. Maybe someone knows what is going on. #1. I logged into the SYNC site before i ever touched the system. I did see that it reported something about 3 updates , etc. I then downloaded an update to my USB, plugged into the car, updated and it said successful. I then brought my USB back in to my computer to "confirm the update" and that is where the trouble started. Whenever I try and get back to that updates info again, it always says error, cannot connect to my system or something. I then thought, oh, maybe i have to pair my phone for it to work. So I went out and paired my iphone, worked fine. Came back in. This site still doesnt show my updates screen and the "MANAGE SYNC" button above does not work. It says: Error Our system is unable to retrieve your vehicle's information. Please try again later. These steps will not work: Next Step: Report your successful installation Confirming installations allows us to inform you of new updates and enhancements specifically for your SYNC. 1. Log in to your SYNC account and select Update & Customize. 2. Click REPORT SUCCESSFUL INSTALLS. 3. Insert your USB drive in the same USB port in which you downloaded the file. 4. Follow instructions on the screen to upload the confirmation files. #2. I suppose there is no way to eliminate that 911 Assist visual reminder every time i turn on the car? do most people just leave it on anyway? #3. The EQ treble/bass/mid does not show numbers changing when i move it from the middle. It should say +1, +2, -4, etc. The display just stays at "0" no matter how I adjust the EQ bar. This seems like a bug. Anyone have any ideas on any of my issues?

omg.. i think i just found out that the DVD player is in the screen itself?? if thats the case, im not selling them. that makes it too easy if i dont have to add anything else..

I got the dual headrest option in my 2011 Sport. I didnt want it, but it was in the one I bought. It came with the wireless headphones and remotes also. So I done a lot of audio installs in my day, but never video. so i have some real basic questions. Are these Ford headrests already connected to my head unit?? Or do you have to plug in a separate source through the A/V cable connection on the headrest itself? I am planning on removing them for sale most likely. Even though I have a 5 month old and could use them later, its a big risk for theft around here. Plus I'm one of the people that things my kid watches enough TV at home and doesnt need to watch TV in the car also. It was a $2000 option on my build sheet, but i wouldnt imagine they can sell for anything close to that, right? I'll have to research and see if any have sold around here..

ya after seeing them on white i decided to keep them. ill prob be used to the size in a few days. they just looked a lot bigger on the blue one.. only had 30 mins of drive time. havent even gone out to the garage to see it. im just savoring the experience. no hurry in me learning everything. and im gonna try to NOT spend time on the forums.. that is the downfall of everything for me. 75% of everything I already saw is a complaint, and i dont need to be worrying about things all the time. its in my nature to begin with, and i dont need extra help. the car is awesome so far, and if an issue comes up, ill come here to investigate. but i dont need to read people complaining day after day like i did with all my previous cars.
