  1. without tuning an intake isn't going to do anything to throttle response, especially on a drive by wire type throttle.
  2. probably best they pulled it, I find it sucks. often times it isn't doing anything when I push the voice button or takes two times to recognize what I say.
  3. I think the difference in install times come from those who use the link I posted and get the update from their syncmyride account. The link I posted was the only way to get it when I posted it so if you wanted it a little early or didn't want to go to a dealer you could get it there. But now that it's an update available via syncmyride it seems that it just updates it rather then what seems like a full out install of the other one. I'd suggest those who want to update now just get it from their syncmyride account and not the posted link.
  4. does Ford even test this software before they release it? I'm a software engineer and I'm surprised half this crap makes it through quality assurance.
  5. I've noticed a bunch of things with the phone section. like when you are on a call and on the 4 square screen the signal and battery bar are overlapping text. this happens to if you are on one of the other screens and up on the yellow bar it says "iphone connected" and it will have those bars over top of the text. The one thing I wish they would do is put the name of the song and artist playing on the home screen and also what fan speed is on. and it's kind of annoying that I get out of my car and the screen stays on longer. i liked when I opened the door and it went off.
  6. on your usb you should have a folder that is titled "syncmyride" and then you should have 2 other files, autoinstall.lst and dontindx.msa other than that wait until your car is on and mft is fully loaded then plug in your usb and it should prompt you to update.
  7. edit: nevermind my syncmyride was updated, everything seems to be working fine so far.
  8. tirerack.com, ebay, any place that sells tires should have them. you probably haven't seen anything about tire pressure because your tire pressure has to be down about 10psi for it to come on.
  9. installed fine on mine, only took 35min.
  10. yeah because it is not for the 2012 focus and 2013 escape, their climate system is different. i've read all that, start from page 1. a member on this forum already had the dealer apply the update.
  11. this is the file dealers are installing on current customers cars per TSB 12-9-1 I'm going to try installing it on mine in about a half hour if you want to wait and see what it does for me.
  12. I believe someone said it will put the outside temp back on the 8" lcd. also after looking through the install file it will tell you if yours is compatible or not.
  13. well this is for Gen 2 MFT for the Taurus/MKS/MKT/MKX/Edge/Explorer and Flex as of now the only way to get this update is that link or going to your dealer.
  14. for those that want the new update but don't want to go to their dealer: http://www.syncmyrid....atepackage.exe extract to usb drive that is at least 2GB. it wasn't available from syncmyride.com install is the same as 3.0.2 new version is 3.2 "Customers with the above referenced vehicles may experience the following concerns with their MyFord Touch / MyLincoln Touch technology. The MyFord Touch / MyLincoln Touch Software Release v3.2 will address the following conditions and provide all previous performance upgrade enhancements: *Missing radio preset text *Radio stays on key off after opening the door *Voice recognition inoperative - pressing the push to talk button on the steering wheel does not initiate audio prompt "please say a command"; only Listening icon is displayed *Sirius travel link fuel prices show as unsubscribed when it is subscribed"

  17. are you talking about tire pressure sensors? if you are then yes all newer cars require them. if you don't install them you'll be plagued with a message about them
  18. maf calibration is done in the tune itself. the maf works on voltage, the ecu is programmed to see a certain amount of air for a certain what ever voltage is being read at that current time. this calibration can change if the diameter of the maf housing is not exactly the same as stock as well as some other factors. a good way to see if your maf is properly calibrated is to look at your fuel trims, you need some kind of diagnostic monitor to see these.
  19. ha you wouldn't think so but it's been well over 80 for majority of this summer, hell it was 89 today. yes I'm a steelers fan too.
  20. if the tune was for that intake it most certainly would fix the issues you were having. my guess is the maf needed to be calibrated.
  21. looks like it just needs pushed back in unless a tab is broken.
  22. depending on temp i use windows all the time, if it's over 80 I tend to use A/C.
  23. i read that's wrong and it's actually 65mph. if I'm on the highway I don't have them completely down but usually cracked enough.
  24. want good mpg's? don't drive with the ac on if you don't have to. I found it decreases the mpg by 3-4.
