  1. you can use any wax you would use on your paint, there are some wheel waxes but since most wheels now a days are clear coated you can use the same thing as you use on your car.
  2. any wheel can with stand snow and salt as long as you maintain them and keep them clean. salt will damage any wheel that it sits on for to long, aftermarket or not.
  3. obviously if the tank runs dry and the engine quits there is nothing left in it, not very good practice to do that.
  4. ford really didn't make any changes between 2012 and 2013 so anything that fits the 12 should fit the 13.
  5. don't think it applies to later models as MyFord Touch wasn't installed in the edge until model year 2011.
  6. don't wash it in direct sunlight, when the paint is hot, or don't let the water sit on it long.
  7. me thinks you should have bought a sports car and not an edge
  8. it definitely does not stand for launch. it is for "Low" as in low gearing
  9. go figure: http://autos.yahoo.com/news/why-the-myford-touch-control-system-stinks.html i understand myford touch had it's downfalls but the things they complain at just seems to me like some non-tech person over 60 wrote this. they complain about the capacitive touch but in reality you can control it all by voice.
  10. I think you guys are missing the point of what he actually wants. he wants a grille that doesn't have it at all, not blacked out. at this point something would have to be made because the portion of the grille that is cut out for the oval would have to be built up, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to do if you were good at working with fiberglass.
  11. on the 2011+ it isn't actually a set mileage but it's based off your driving. for instance I drive a majority of highway with some city and after 3.5k miles it says I have 60% oil life left. Granted I'll be changing mine ever 5k.
  12. I agree with the ugly statements.
  13. well the 2013 is the same as the 2011 and 2012.
  14. breaking in the motor also helps with fuel efficiency, as parts wear there will be less friction.
  15. didn't someone just post asking the same thing? i'd say its for the tow package.
  16. yes some power steering systems take automatic transmission fluid. I'd say a bigger problem you might have is an air bubble in the system.
  17. I think the ride in my Edge Sport is very smooth, especially with the 22's. At least I think it rides nicer then my wifes 2011 Nissan Rogue. My only complaint is their throttle mapping, to much lag, wish it were more responsive.
  18. yeah my 2012 does this too. passenger seat as well.
  19. 50-60 years ago cars transmissions weren't built like they are today, I'm pretty sure they can take it.
  20. I need to get one of those emblems. I wrapped the chrome surround on mine when I did the chrome pieces above the lights and grille and it came out excellent, looks the same as the paint, just need a black emblem to really set it off. Wrap was the way to go for me, only $22. Just gotta take the front bumper off and what not to do it all if you want it to look real good.
  21. well just read this thread, because everything that was suggested should fit a 2013 since it's the same as the 2011-2012.
  22. just keep water off things like alternator, battery, and intake and you'll be fine. googling cleaning engine bay will yield results.
  23. where'd you get your black ford emblem?
  24. seriously get a real tuning device.
