  1. Not exactly sure...seems to be a mixture of rust and salt from winter and also a possible over-torque from a shop when rotating wheels. It's all good now. Local mechanic saved me a few hundred bucks off of NTB quote and I was able to get outer tie rods done at the same time. Everything is running smooth now. Except, now the TPMS light is on...no code is thrown so that threw me off...and I've tried the brake pedal and hazard light method to try to initiate reset method. Anyone rest TPMS sensors on an 08?
  2. Changed to the summer wheels today and had new tires put on them. Unfortunately noticed that I had one broken stud on both front wheels so now I need new hub bearings....At least I can now have tie rods replaced while they're at it!
  3. I purchased it from Benny @ Levittown Super Center on this forum. I was purchasing a new console lid anyways so I decided to go for it.
  4. Car looks great! I saw the satin white pearl wrap on a car at Cleveland Auto Show last year and I loved it. I would get my Edge wrapped if it wasn't going to be gone in a few years....if you don't mind me asking, how much did it set you back?
  5. This weekend I washed the Edge, installed rear bumper protector, switched from tan center console lid to black (to match dash paint job) and installed a custom tune from Torrie! All while also cleaning out the garage and getting a round of golf in...it was a good weekend.
  6. Yeah I knew you waste a lot...I know how to take the whole center panel off, just didn't want to experiment with trying to pry the silver panel off (I hate breaking clips!)...another member on here was experimenting with the same thing so I'll see where we get with it. Thanks for the advice.
  7. Nick, I have admired that work you did in your new Edge. It looks great! Did you get pre-cut pieces are just start with a sheet? Part of my issue is also that I'd like to remove the paint from the shifter panel and wrap that as well...but then you get more complicated with wrapping the cupholders...
  8. I could try that....the original problem is I'm unsure of how to remove the center silver part of the stereo dash (and there doesn't seem to be an answer online either) as we have discussed this in another thread as well...If I could remove that easily, then I would have no hesitation to take on the wrap job myself. I honestly may ask the audio techs at Best Buy (they have done a stereo install for me before) if they know of any method to easily remove that trim...I plan on getting a NAV/audio upgrade done in the Edge at BB in a month or so, so maybe they will feel inclined to help me out. Silver part I'm talking about is the one in the attached picture. http://pixhder.com/gallery/ford+edge+2007+interior/2 If anyone knows how to remove, please give any advice
  9. Cool, thanks. Haven't heard back yet on my inquiry...if you mess around with it more and figure anything out, please let me know.
  10. I'm wondering if there is a forum member in the Cleveland, OH area that is experienced with vinyl wrap...I've been trying to find companies that will wrap my stereo dash and plastic trim by the shifter but they all want to do a bigger job. I'm not confident enough to take this task on and unfortunately the only person I trust to do it is in AZ so I'm out of luck... If anyone would be interested (or knows anyone who could do it), send me a message. I would provide the wrap and would pay for your time. Thanks
  11. I haven't heard anything or seen any videos on it...going to ask my buddies in the auto body/audio industry to see if maybe any of them know...I'll let you know if I find something
  12. How hard is the install and ease of changing settings/turning off?
  13. Hey guys. Not sure if this has been covered already but I need some help...pretty soon I will be switching back to my summer wheels and tires and would like to lower the Edge at the same time... I'm new to actually lowering a vehicle so I'm not sure exactly what is needed in order to do this...I plan on going with the H&R springs and KYB struts but I'm not sure what else is needed. Any help/part list is much appreciated. Thanks!
  14. Yeah I'm really hoping that the problem doesn't pop up again...The next time I spend money on the Edge will hopefully be on NAV unit/back up camera, Suspension upgrade, braking upgrade....I hate spending money on repairs haha The Edge does seem to be running much smoother now though.
  15. Had the spark plugs replaced this past weekend...seems to have fixed the apparent misfire issue as I didn't have a CEL or any codes so wasn't the coils...looking at doing the brakes/rotors as soon as we turn the corner on Winter here in Ohio
  16. Anyone have any issues with the Redline Hoods struts? They work great but I noticed they are twisting the thin piece of metal connected to the side of the engine bay...I'm trying to think of a way to be support those thin strips of metal by securing them to the more sturdy, fixed components but I'm not sure how to do that just yet....Has anyone else had to do something similar after their install?
  17. I'll try to take some today...Just got back from church and have some work to do. I'll try to get some before we lose daylight here in OH.
  18. Got both installs done today. Both are working great and definitely an upgrade from stock. Thanks for the recommendation!
  19. Thanks to a beautiful Cleveland, Ohio day (can't say that very much), I was able to install the Redline Tuning Hood Struts and some Monroe MaxLift lift gate supports in the Edge. Both are great upgrades...the lift gate has much better response now and I'm glad I decided to do the hood struts. Still left the prop bar in for now just in case there are any issues but will probably remove it in the Spring. Much more comfortable opening the hood and it looks great. I even was able to install some Monroe MaxLift struts in my Father-in-Law's truck since his lift gate on his Tahoe always hits him in the head! Great day to do some fun car stuff...
  20. I don't do very much work under the hood that would warrant a definite need for the hood struts. But I just have the thought that prop bars seem cheap and the hood struts give a nice overall look when opening up the hood. Especially for those who spend money on adding upgrades under the hood...
  21. Just received mine today from RockAuto. Hoping to have time this weekend to do the install and the Redline Hood strut install as well.
  22. Sounds ok to me...I just placed an order with RockAuto for the same supports. I'm trying to make a big list of things I want to do by summer and I thought of these because I just ordered hood struts as well...I may consider replacing the lift supports when the weather gets warmer overall, as we're only in the 30s for a good while now in Cleveland (and that's if we're lucky). Definitely can't wait to install the hood struts though, and some work is under the hood and I hate the prop bar...
  23. Are the Monroe's still holding up good for you guys? I just ordered the Redline Hood struts and it got me thinking to replace the rear lift gate support as well...
  24. I wish I didn't have a AWD so I could do the rear sway bar upgrade...
  25. I know that I'm going with the H&R Springs...just not sure what struts I want to go with...I'd like it to be an upgrade rather than a simple restore of new from factory if possible...
