  1. Do you have any experience with this or just a hunch? I'm not questioning your knowledge, just want to make sure before I try it and then something goes wrong. I appreciate the help
  2. I really want to paint my wheels and grille but not sure how to paint with the chrome clad covering...many say you can't paint over it and not sure how to get it off. Any help?
  3. So the fogs are back to stock bulbs and system and still no power...so its either a serious issue or just a problem with the headlight switch (even though it works for everything else). But I'm not too worried about not having fogs at this moment, my headlights will be good enough. I'll have this checked out if more problems arise or when timing is better
  4. I am returning the fogs to stock tmrw (wednesday) afternoon to see if those even work. If not, I am going to take it somewhere else....at least they didn't charge me for the half hour check that they did!
  5. I honestly have no idea...I was told that the electrical system was checked and there was no problem with the factory system
  6. So they told me that there was a problem with my HID system and that the wiring all looks good so I now have to replace the factory bulbs to make sure the system works...if so, I'm done with these HIDs and will probably just go with sylvania silverstars
  7. Well I tested the power at the factory plug and there is definitely power there. BUT power does not change when the fog light switch is on or off, so I'm thinking its a problem with the wiring or the headlight switch...having some other weird problems with the edge so hopefully taking it in on saturday
  8. Oh okay. Yeah I can do that, the hardest part will be getting underneath the car....will try it out wednesday. Thanks!
  9. I installed HIDs in my fogs about 6 months ago and I haven't had any problem with them until now...they just failed to work one day and haven't worked since for about 2 weeks now. I checked the fuse and its fine and there is no relay in the power box for the fogs either. Don't know whats going on really and don't want to get ripped off by the dealer...any thoughts? Thanks

Here we go steelers here we go!
  12. Thanks for your input. I'm slowing leaning towards getting it for my 08
  13. Nope. Scion bumper cover looked weird on the edge...I kinda gave up for right now
  14. Okay thanks. How does the clay bar take the plasti-dip or paint off?
  15. Where can I get a clay bar? and I've heard of ppl using clay bars on their cars before...what else can they be used for?
  16. Anyone know how to safely remove plasti-dip from a painted surface? Some of it dripped on the body paint of my edge on both the front and back bumpers and I would like to remove it w/o taking the paint off as well. I know plasti-dip sells a solution but I was looking for something that I wouldn't need to have shipped here...
  17. No I haven't seen him recently and I don't have his number anymore. I'll take your word for it and thanks for letting me know before I bought the LEDs....just don't understand how red bulbs in the license plate can make a difference when the taillights are red as well.....oh well
  18. Just out of curiosity....anyone know if you can have the cargo/trunk light on all the time or on a switch? If I put a red light back there I think it would look cool if it was on all the time at night....Would match my footwell red LEDs nicely
  19. Yeah I wouldn't think that red would be bad either since the taillights are also red...thats why I want the red so it blends better. I have a couple cop friends, I'll ask when I can
  20. Thanks. I was hoping for some ppl to respond with bulb sizes they actually used. I heard some cases where the bulb sizes listed on the sylvania site were wrong. I'll check the manual. Thanks guys!
  21. Are the heated seats in the new models turned on using a switch or press in button? or just a normal button like the older models on the dash? that would tell you whether the seats would turn on or not....older models don't allow the heated seats to turn on during remote start.
  22. Exactly. And plasti-dip is more forgiving than paint as well. If you make a mistake with paint, it's going to dry with that mistake. A small mistake with plastidip will even out when it dries. A big mistake can just be taken off pretty easily.
