  1. Thanks man. I'll post about it around July of this year when I get around to doing this.
  2. Hey what shocks and struts did you go with? I'm actually moving to AZ in June from Ohio and I'm planning on doing the same suspension upgrade you did.
  3. I have the same problem but never had the PCM flashed. I've seen it being a PCM issue and also a spark plug "misfire" issue as well. Hoping to have my mechanic friend look at it soon and figure it out since I don't trust Ford service anymore....
  4. Just over a week ago I noticed that one of my puddle lights from Dan at DTBL had stopped working. I emailed him on Friday, and he responded on saturday letting me know that they had redesigned the puddle lights and would be sending me 2 brand new lights of the new design. I attached pictures showing the difference (I tried to attach pictures but it's not letting me upload to site or to this post)...light output is same (still amazing) but you can tell a huge difference in quality of the build (obviously new lights are higher quality). They even look "cleaner" and newly designed clip helps installation and fit just that much easier. Another pleasant experience with Dan.
  5. Pretty sure its the same with 35% on fronts here in Ohio....I had mine done professionally with 3M tint in 2012 but I believe it was $150 for all windows (front, back, tailgate) then was $30 for sun strip on windshield and $50 for moonroof tint. Not bad pricing and I love the job they did. No bubbles at all and it looks great. Glad it worked out good for you
  6. Installation is very simple, especially if you've ever installed an HID kit before. You'll notice the great quality right away. Hope you enjoy the kit.
  7. Where did you get the powder coated tips from? I'm interested in the swap as well.
  8. Replaced both factory fog lights, was heavy condensation in both. Beam is brighter and more consistent now, also got a chance to remove plastidip and completely paint the fog bezels. Looks great again
  9. I don't have a 2015 but I went on TRS and put in info for a 2015 Edge w/o stock HID and this is what I got...9006 bulbs...I can testify that these products are amazing, very high quality (well worth the money) and customer service is great too. Link below is to 9006 4500K bulbs with 50W ballast w/ Canbus harness. I don't know about the newer Edges but you can get away with a 35W system if you use wiring harness as well. That's the setup I have in my 2008 and I haven't had any problems since going with TRS products. http://www.theretrofitsource.com/hid-systems/morimoto-elite-hid-system-9006.html?carDisplay=2015+Ford+Edge&preselect=CANBUS-9006%2CXB-BALLAST-55%2CXB2-9006-43#.VfsuqrSh0rc Hope you guys find what you're looking for.
  10. UPDATE: Problem was fixed over a month ago. Ended up not being a broken baffle but a loose piece of metal piping in the exhaust system before reaching muffler ( about under center of car like I originally said). Local shop fixed it good for about $50, not bad to have a normal sounding car again and no problems since. Sorry for the late update but I've been very busy with work and school. Hope no one else has a similar problem because places find it hard to pin point problem. Thanks for everyone's help.
  11. Where did you end up getting those? How hard was it to drill through and are there instructions on where to drill etc?
  12. Have you considered doing a short write-up on your process? Specifically where you tapped into for the power, etc. I had something like this a few years back and decided to get rid of them, I want a more professional, clean job than my first go around.
  13. Followed the video and the vista roof is opening quicker and closing much quicker than before. Seems to be getting better each run through as well (helping lubricant spread evenly across rails). Thanks again for the great write up and video to help with this annoying problem.
  14. I'm curious as to if Dan would be interested in doing a similar look with the 3rd Brake light....I asked him about it but he's been busy and hasn't let me know yet.
  15. So I recently purchased a set of the DTBL LED Tail Lights from Dan for my 2008 Edge. I was on the fence about getting them for awhile but after talking to him, I decided to go with it. I've had them installed for a couple weeks now and I couldn't be happier! I got the new SPORT Shadow Black option and its a great median between blacked out and stock tail lights. I had stock blacked out tail lights from VHT NiteShades before and I was nervous about giving up that tint on the back of the car (I liked the black on black look). But after getting them, they look great on the car and pictures don't do it justice at all...I was nervous at first because they looked a little too red inside under artificial lighting but I put them on the car and was blown away. The lighting at night is amazing as well. LED reverse lights are bright and help visibility at night. Blinker function for the 07-10 model makes it a one of a kind Edge. It was probably the best upgrade I've purchased for the Edge based on the price. I would encourage anyone who is on the fence about these lights, to just go ahead and get them! You will not regret it and will instantly feel that no one else will have the same Edge as you. Pictures below...feel free to comment or message if you have any questions...http://www.drivebright.com **I am in no way affiliated with Drive Bright or DTBL, just a happy customer that wants to do right by a great supplier!**
  16. Installed my new DTBL LED tail lights last week. Just got some decent pictures...plan on doing a full write up since I believe not many ppl have purchased the 07-10 LED tail lights from Dan. I went with the new Shadow Sport option. As you can see in the pictures below, they are not blacked out like my VHT ones were but its better that way. They're safer, you can see the LED features during the day, and they probably appeal to a more general audience now (better for when I sell the Edge). So I'm very happy with these and like I said will be doing a better write up soon
  17. It's my understanding that they are in the muffler....I'm not an exhaust expert or anything...I just looked it up (never even heard of it before).
  18. UPDATE: So the mechanic found that it is a loose/broken baffle in the exhaust system. So definitely happy it has nothing to do with the engine....unfortunately, the mechanic doesn't do exhaust work so I have a exhaust shop that can do the work next weekend (I need the car all week). At least I get to enjoy my brand new bumper and painted grille!
  19. That's more similar to it than previous video but mine is not all the time...mostly just when I start the car after it sits for a few hours and when I hit the gas. It's worse in colder weather as well. Just got an oil change less than a month ago so that's all good and oil pressure seems to be ok via the dash so I'm going to have the mechanic look everything over. He's pretty good at finding the problem so hopefully it will be a quick fix. Thanks for the info.
