  1. It's actually pretty glossy. It won't shine like the body paint but it gives it that "wet" look. Like paint does when it rains if that helps? As for the sanding thing, I wouldn't try it. I feel like it would take some of the plasti-dip off and would end up ruining it. Even if it did work, I doubt it would help it shine or anything like that....But the glorious thing about plasti-dip is that it's cheap! So if you do decide to try it out it won't be that big of a deal...
  2. I glossed mine. You can see somewhat of a difference in respect to how it blends with the gloss black body color. I liked the matte but I love the gloss just because it blends in better. Did the grille and the wheels...also helps it hold up better as well.
  3. Okay thanks. I really want to do this but don't want to break anything...my bumper is already cracked underneath the left headlight and the top tab is broken...worried about making it worse and not being able to put the bumper back on...my mom would freak!
  4. The normal matte black plasti dip is pretty durable. Add the gloss to that and its not going to fade, chip, anything. As long as you let it cure long enough, that stuff should stay on for a long time
  5. Okay. can you take out those bolts and tabs easily? I've heard some say you need more than just basic tools...
  6. is it hard to install the headlights on the 07-10 edges? I'm looking to get new projectors but I'm hesitant to take off the bumper...I don't want to break anything!
  7. From the album: 08 Black Edge SEL

Plasti-dip gloss black sprayed grille with two-tone black emblem overlay
  8. those are stock for the edge sport models.....if you get them from ford it will cost you about $600 per rim. Some may sell them used on here or ebay for like $300 each
  9. I just refinished the black on my wheels and grille then applied to gloss coats. Looks pretty good IMO! Gloss is definitely less forgiving and you need to be more careful when using it compared to the black....but still not too bad to use for beginners. I will post pics hopefully tomorrow
  10. And there are guys that will recreate the Ford logo...my guy did it and I believe the guy that did Mike's did as well

looks good. did you paint that grille yourself?
  12. If that is what happened, any problems if I don't get it fixed right now?
  13. Do the make the full size version (like in your banner photo) in matte black also or just the mini version? Either way that edge looks amazing. I will definitely look at your products for my next car in a few years
  14. So the sound has greatly decreased since I recently had an alignment last weekend. I have only heard it a few times compared to multiple times a day like before. But it still occurs....the guy said my alignment was really far off to the right so I thought maybe something was just rubbing but it's still happening while my car doesn't pull or anything anymore....The problem has been helped but not completely fixed
  15. I honestly want to get my 08 wrapped in 3M matte black but I don't plan on keeping it for more than 2 more years so probably not worth it Edge looks great though and good idea on the matte black products. Does the hood protector go the whole way above the lights or just cover from above the grille?
  16. So I just got the plasti-dip gloss in today so I plan on applying it some time this weekend. Need help with one thing though...I got new tires on my car last weekend and they scuffed up the original plasti-dip around the edges of the wheels and even peeled some off....can I just spray some black plasti-dip over that stuff to repair it or do I need to do the wheels all over again from scratch?
  17. I also had a scuff and I just applied a thicker coat over top of it and it helped hide it more. The valve stem won't be a problem. If you remove the lug nuts, the plasti-dip may be scratched or come off
  18. this car is pretty sick....I wish I could buy it haha
  19. I agree with the tail lights thing... having those a smoked color would look even more badass
  20. yea sorry thats what i meant to say.
  21. You will need to know the lug size to know if they will fit...other than that they seem like they will. If it's not the correct lug size, they would have to be machined to fit and wouldn't be worth it. I would ask the guy and see if he knows
  22. Good idea on posting a how to video on this. I was skeptical before I did it but after realized it was easy. I'm sure many ppl will find it helpful. Good job and rims look good
