New 2012 Edge Sport Owner + Looking to mod, need help

With the new turn bulbs, you now have an EcoEdge! Nice shade of green at least Still on OEM wheel/tire right? Are the roads in NE very challenging? As long as sufficient tire sidewall is available, I'd think that lowering with H&R should be fine. May have to get an alignment afterwards tho. -
Slotted/Drilled Rotors
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Phillmatchett's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
Hey Jared! Great to see ya on here again Mostly this combo is quiet. Under hard braking, you can hear the pads passing over the slots, not nearly loud enough to bother me. Braking power is much improved, surprising to me since the Z16s are ceramic-based. Dusting I am not yet sure (only 800 miles on them though). This silver color on the wheels is pretty good at hiding dust! / -
Pix or it didn't happen Is the kit still easily available for the Edge?

You were in the right place T10 is basically the generic name for the socket the 921 bulb uses. So any T10 based bulb should work instead of the 921, provided of course, that the physical dimensions don't exceed the capacity of the bulb opening/holder. My Edge's 921 socket is OEM i think, and it holds on to the OEM bulb pretty tightly. I have tried multiple LED products in that socket, and as to whether the bulb you buy is a little loose in the socket, that will vary. The current ones fit pretty well.

Bump, keeping it up on top.

2015 Ford Edge Introduced - Edge Going Global
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to LI Edge's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
One of the reasons Ford limited HP/TQ numbers on the Gen IV/V Taurus SHO was due to insurance rate classification. Over 400 and it would have been in a "sport" category. They wanted to market the SHO as a family car. Info straight from insiders. If 2.3L is breaking 300, a 2.7L could come close to 400. Easy. Hence my suggestion. -

Might keep the numbers down for insurance reasons, depending on which models receive the 2.7. -
This may help: http://www.paulstravelpictures.com/Ford-Edge-Door-Panel-Removal-Speaker-Replacement-Guide/index.html Even the 2007 manual says it's pretty straightforward: Removal and Installation All vehicles Remove the front door handle bezel. Remove the screw cover. Remove the screw. Remove the front door handle bezel. Disconnect the electrical connectors, if equipped.

2013 Ford Edge Limited. . .dead in the driveway
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to jetcycles's topic in 2013 Edge & MKX
Any equipment left plugged into the power points? Any new electronics (lighting/audio/security etc) installed? Parked outside, or in the garage (thinking heat related)? Any troubles with the CD player skipping etc.? When was the Edge manufactured? If early on in 2012, could indeed be a failing battery, as you have espoused. -
You can check for yourself: http://tire-size-conversion.com/tire-size-calculator/ Revs/mile differences are what you are looking for, within a couple of % is fine. That's how much your speedometer/odometer will be off by compared to OEM.

Thanks, look forward to it! I did see the Stingray on the 'net, pretty sweet!

Search is your friend http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/10869-door-ajar-warning-on-at-all-times/ Basically, the only known permanent solution is to replace the sensor/switch in the door. You can possibly alleviate with a thorough spray of electronics cleaner (evaporates & cleans) inside the door where the latch would fit. There is also a TSB for the dealer to use a special tool to "reset" the switch. Consider this how to on replacing the part yourself: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/14262-how-to-replace-door-latch-module-for-door-ajar-warning/ How far out of warranty are you? If not by much, you may be able to talk the dealer into a warrantied replacement, or at least get discounted service.
