    What sensors did you buy?

I got these, but my 2016 Edge being an export model is different as it runs with 433 MHz sensors.

When installed 20" wheels from a 2016 Edge Titanium my Edge automatically learned the sensors. Also when I installed the new ones from eBay it did the same.

  2. The 2016 Edge can relearn new sensors without any procedure, just drive for a few minutes with some speed, at least my 2016 did so.

What sensors did you exactly get? What model year is your F-150? They don't always use the same sensors.

Thought that the electric AWD  actuator was attached to the front of the rear differential.

It changed on the later models - not sure at what year they moved to the PTU.

In 2019 they switched to the PTU with disconnect function, however the rear differential still has the actuator. So the driveshaft can be fully disconnected from both sides and then would stop spinning.

@macbwt previously made a video of it in action:

I read the codes using forscan. What is happening is the car is freaking out because the left wheel is turning a little bit too far left, so it's programmed to enter a limp mode. The problems I described are happening due to the software programing when it detects the wheel position being out of spec.

Now I could replace the parts and still have the issue, which enters me into the rabbit hole of piece by piece repairs. But clearly I needed to replace the link anyways

I thought there are bump stops in the knuckles that limit/stop steering rotation. Maybe what caused the link to break is what is causing the wheel to turn too far out.

Maybe try to reset the codes and then see if they come back immediately when you do a full steering turn.

They mentioned stage 5 and it came out a few weeks before I did my last run

Just got a reply from LMS, they confirmed stage 5 is only for the ST (2019+). No updates for the Sport.

LMS latest update on new tune. Finally broke the 5 seconds in the 0-60

Do you know the version number of the tune or when it was released?

On the Edge Sport (2015-2018) seems they stopped at stage 4 released long time ago (2021)

I remembered a post about over filling the engine oil. When I bought the SUV it appeared to be low, close to the bottom hole but it is so hard to tell on those dipsticks unless the oil is dirty and the oil had just been replaced at the dealership. I cussed them under my breath for being cheap and trying to save on a quart of oil and added one. I remember after putting that court in that I was satisfied with it being slightly over the top hole. That has never been a problem on other vehicles I have had but maybe this engine is sensitive to over filling

Just in case, are you aware that for these engines you have to wait ~15 minutes for the oil to fully drain into the pan before checking the oil level?

  8. Dealers will always be expensive. The part number is ft4z5820879dc and itself is much cheaper. See here for example an OEM part.  But the part will require painting to match your color.

Also, searching the part number on eBay you will find even cheaper and cheaper still used. If your lucky, you might find one with same color saving you from having to paint it.

this looks right to me from my recollection

Thanks. Looked up the part number on Ford's online parts lookup and found it applicable for my Edge's VIN. Even the parts diagram confirms it.

What do you think is causing what you believe to be lower than design oil pressure when at operating temperature?

Our 2.7's have an oil pressure regulating valve, it could be the cause.

I recently got a previously set DTC P06DD:00-28 for Engine Oil Pressure Control Circuit Performance/Stuck off. No symptoms, check engine light or warning messages. Reading online I feal I might need to replace the "Oil Pressure Control Solenoid" soon, pictured in your post, but I can't seem to find a part number. All I can find is the Variable Valve Timing Oil pressure control solenoid.

@Haz your usual assistant is highly appreciated.

Please tell us how to enable this using Forscan - I'm thinking of tinkering with this.

    I see @Wubster100 already answered.

At the time I recall enabling it the manual ABD way using information from the 2gfusions forums, however, the site stopped working for me from a long time, probably due to my location outside the US. This thread/post might have the info, but I can't confirm since it doesn't open for me.

One thing I would strongly advise if the battery needs to be replaced is that all newer Edges (Even my 2018) require AGM batteries which can be quite pricey.  But if the battery is under warranty, you can go to the dealer and they will replace it for free.

As far as I know, if the vehicle has Auto Start-Stop, then it has to have an AGM battery. So much so that on some regular batteries there is an exclamation that warranty would be void if installed in a vehicle with auto Start-Stop.

  13. Yes. I believe the larger diameter and wider tires are the main reason. Even if the suspension is bottoming out the tires should not rub.

Sorry can't help with recommendations. But OEM (Motorcraft) is always a good option.
