Did they save a few pennies by not having a switch?
Probably yes, a cost cutting thing. Just like how the small drawer on the left side was replaced with a simple cover (link to discussion). On my 2016, the ambient light is still there (door handle & door pocket).

'17 Edge Sport - Does anyone know if the front and rear handles are interchangeable for each side?
They are not. The fronts have antennas and sensors while the rears only have sensors.

Are you saying that my 2021 ST with memory seats can be programed to tip the mirrors when placed in reverse? How? I searched settings and don't see this option. Did find easy entry to have driver seat go back and forth.
Not in stock form. It is a mod using ForScan. https://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/23250-comprehensive-list-of-possible-forscan-mods/

That's a pretty slick design. I wasn't aware of this for the 2019+MY. Thanks for the info!

What do you mean by Gen 1 and Gen 2?
Gen 1 Edge is for model years 2007 to 2014 (years 2011 to 2014 are also referred to as Gen 1.5 as they had a significant face-lift).
Gen 2 Edge is 2015+ model years as I. 2015 the Edge was completely redesigned. Most parts are new.

I drained 22 ounces out so I added 22 ounces of Amsoil 75W-140 Severe Gear oil.
I'm a little confused bc my owners manual says to add 12.8 ounces.
So whats up with that?
Has anyone experienced this?
The owners manual states 23.7 fluid ounces for the Sport (2.7 EcoBoost). Where did you get the 12.8 ounce capacity?
2019+models have a different PTU , it can disconnect the rear drive shaft to save fuel when AWD is not required.

Eventually, I put some felt tape over the ridge and it has been quiet for the longest time I remember.
So I just checked again, I actually put the felt tape on the console side. When the armrest/lid cover closes, the ridge would press on the felt tape instead of the plastic side.

Reverse Tilt will only work if the vehicle has memory seats. I don't believe the SEL trim has memory seats.

On HID equipped 2015-2018 Edge the inner bulb is a H15 bulb with dual filaments. The low filament (15 watts if I remember correctly) is used for the DRL function, but the other filament is NOT used. Even the wiring is not connected. You will find only two wires on the bulb connector, ground and DRL. The high beam function is achieved by moving a shutter on the outer HID projectors (commonly known as bi-xenon). On non-HID 2015-2018 Edge that inner bulbs are 9005 utilized for high beams only. DRL function is achieved using reduced voltage (or some alternating current/voltage, don't exactly remember) on the low beam bulbs.
Also, those "outer" lights are HID (High Intensity Discharge) lights, aka Xenon lights, not LED. You cannot remove them for cleaning, unless you disassemble the headlight and then gluing it back together. It is possible, but not simple and you could end up breaking them.

It probably was very hot to the touch, if I remember correctly, and there even was a yellow plastic or rubber sleeve that you can hold the prop from to avoid touching the hot steel prop rod. See below photo:

The windshield repair guy said that a recalibration was only needed if the vehicle gave a warning message indicating as such. However, the lane assist doesn't seem to work nearly as well since.
On earlier models (2015-2018) I know that replacing the windshield requires calibration for the camera. Not sure of newer models, however I guess they also will need calibration. I'd bet this is your issue since you issue started at the same time.

There is a somewhat issue on some Ford cooled seats modules due to the wiring connector on the module itself. Not sure if it is the same on your Edge or not, but checking the connector shouldn't be difficult. See below video as example, many Ford vehicles use the same module.

I was told that the rears are not covered under PremiumCARE. (Fronts are however). Rear shocks are designed to wear out and that isn't covered. Think I spent somewhere around $150-$200 at dealer.
Apparently I was mistaken. The website states "MacPherson Struts", no mention of "Shock Absorbers" and the brochure does mention "Shock Absorbers" as examples of repairs related to Maintenance that is NOT covered.
Seems my mistake is due to the mixup between PremiumCARE and the Premium Maintenance Plan where it is covered:

I do have warranty, they advised that a leaking shock is wear and tear and is not covered under warranty.
You need to check which ESP package you Edge has, if it is "PremiumCare" then the shocks should be included. I know dealers here like to charge customers extra. Maybe @Haz can help you see which package you have using your VIN. Or check you papers to see what warranty package was included when you purchased it. I remember on my Edge the service adviser told me that shocks/struts were included.

Welcome.
Your Edge is very similar to mine in being a 2016 Sport model purchased new in 2018 and has nearly 70k KM now. Only mine is in Kona Blue color.

If you're not getting OEM, I'd suggest Bilstein. I don't recall anyone here having tried BC on an Edge.
Also, if the dealer is quoting you high prices, buy them online from the US and have them shipped over.
Edit: Reading your introductory post, doesn't your Edge have an extended warranty? ESP? I was under the impression all GCC Ford vehicles from those years had them. If so, the shocks should be covered for 5 years or 100k KM.

Two references on your bonus-pictured transmission fluid warmer/cooler from the 2016 Edge Workshop Manual...

Good luck!
In the cooling component location for the 2.7L, hot market AWD, item#31 (named transmission cooler) looks similar to the Transmission fluid "warmer". Wonder if it's the same item but called different.

Inspired by OP's post, I got this sunshade from Amazon that has several reviews from Edge owners. I can confirm it fits very well. Can't get better covering than this. Material is a bit thicker than usual sunshade covers, feels close to the type of material used in swimming inflatables.

To me it looks like normal water moisture that has dried up on a dirty/dusty engine.

Do you have HID lights? If yes, could be the balasts. Better check for codes using ForScan to get the BCM codes, might give a better indication.

Physically it's not possible because the high beam filaments of the inner bulbs are not connected. That bulb on HID equipped 2015-2018 models is a H15 bulb. A two filament bulb designed for DRL and high beam. Only the DRL filament is connected electrically.
Did you install LED front turn signal bulbs? If yes, that's your issue and you have to disable "hyper flash" or "bulb out", not sure exactly what's it's called. The fast flashing happens when the vehicle detects a turn signal bulb is out, and when regular bulbs are replaced with LEDs, the difference in current makes the vehicle think the bulbs are out.
