I was driving my Limited today and I have to say it is super quiet. I test drove the Lincoln MKX when I was shopping and didn't notice any sound difference on the highway but I will agree with you I thought I noticed a difference in the suspension. Now my Edge has 20" wheels and the Lincoln had 18" wheels, so I thought that was the reason for the plush ride but I guess it makes sense that it was tuned that way. I know they supposedly have different tuning in the suspension between different model edges.

Not to be a know it al,l but I don't think Ford did anything different for the Lincoln MKX vs the Ford Edge in the way of making it more quiet or more smooth. I know my Edge has the Ford "SoundScreen" windshield and that is the best windshield Fords/Lincolns can get. Floor and doors have no extra insulation either. But you have an pretty sweet ride. I was torn between the Lincoln MKX and Edge Limited. Ended up with the Ford because of the deal. I do wish I had the cooled seats though.

wow that is definitely a condensation problem. because of the way the water is evenly spread out on the roof panel. If it was a leak you would only see the water in a few spots. That doesn't rule out the possibility of a water leak at the floor. I purchased custom floor liners when I bought my car last month and in the last couple weeks I've probably dumped out a quart of water from my mat once each week.

I bought my Edge from them and they were very easy to buy from, but they were definitely trying to make some extra money on the add ons which I turned down. They wanted to sell me my ESP for $1800.00, but I ended up buying it for half price from there own website and I was able to get a lesser deductible of $50.00 and extra 15k miles more, extra year and 1st day rental. If I was to purchase it from the dealer at time of sale it would have cost me more than twice what there website cost. It makes much more sense at 900.00.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me but I would suggest buying your ESP from http://www.FloodfordESP.com Thats where I bought mine. I think you'll find that it is half the price of a Ford dealer. Your warranty ESP starts at the "inservice date" or the date it was originally purchased. Just dont buy more than you need. I would buy the premium plan. Figure how many miles you drive per year and do the math so that your milage and timeframe of the warranty end at the same time. You wouldnt want to buy 7 years 100k, if you only drive 7000miles per year. In that case you would want 7 years 60k(equals 5 1/2 more years and 37,000 more miles). If you drive 15k per year you would want 7years/100k ESP.(5.5 more years and 77k more miles). PS I bought my car from their dealership in E.Greenwich RI. The ESP was more than half price buying it on their website vs the dealership.

Just curious if it was the weather striping around the door jamb. The one attached to the door opening?

I had Yokohama AVID Envigor tires on my 18 " edge wheels that I had on my Escape. They looked awesome. Performance was great except for snow.

My route is a big circle with big left swinging off ramps. Also fast speeds on ramps can cause bad wear. Yours sounds like bad alignment. I would get it checked out.

Do you drive the same exact route everyday? I drove the same route everyday and noticed that I had some pattern wear on my tires. I was taking more rights turns. Stated taking different routes and it helped. Sounds like a camber problem though.

Just bought mine Jan 11th 2014. Picked my 2012 Edge Limited with almost every option: Vista roof, Stone Leather, power liftgate and rear fold seats, My Key, rear view cam, parking sensors, Navigation, 20" chrome clad, even got rear cargo tray and window vents. Only option missing was Blind spot monitor with Adaptive cruise. Sticker price $42,400. Paid $29700 with 2,700 miles. $12,700 off sticker because the dealers wife decided she wanted to have a Edge limited for 9 months.

was it a connection in the door harness? or the speaker? I only have 4000miles on the car too so it hasn't had that much wear and tear. I noticed that the ford truck forum guys were having a similar problem that stemmed from the harness in the drivers door. I guess I'll have to take in to Tasca Ford and see what they can do. I just dont want them to replace the speaker then a few days later have the same problem.

I have the same issue but with a front door speaker! The funny thing is that it acts up more when it is cold outside. I'm thinking there is a bad electrical connection somewhere. I've seen issues where cold can effect electronics with bad connections because it makes metal contract and then as it warms up the connection gets better as the metal expands. I guess I'll have to take it to the dealer. I just hope its a speaker because there are so many harness connections it could be anywhere. Do you also have the SONY system?

I just wish there was a medium temp because like everyone else said it is either nothing or sterilize.

well I have a 2012 Limited with leather seats and only have two settings. I saw a youtube video from a dealer in a 2011 and 2012 and they both had three settings. But another had only two. Wierdness...

My 2012 Ford Edge with Sony sound is defective or has a bad connection. Sometimes it makes a lot of static like a bad connection and sometimes it works fine. It will still give sound just poor quality when it is acting up. Any ideas? warranty?

So I have a 2012 Edge with 4000miles. Ive noticed that the doorway weatherstrips are starting to shrink at the corners to the point where you can see a 1/4 inch gap between where it attaches to the body and the weatherstrips. I think im getting air noise too. The front Ford emblem is also starting to corrode. Does anyone know if the ford emblem and weather striping would be replaced under warranty?

i also saw two videos on youtube showing the three settings on two different Edges. Isnt that weird?

I just noticed that my 2012 Edge only has two heated seat settings while Ive noticed others with three! I would love to have a middle setting. Anyone know why that is?

Just bought a new 2012 Ford Edge Limited AWD, 301A package(vista roof, HID headlights etc) 20" chrome, navigation, and trailer hitch. It was a left over that was turned into a Demo by the dealer. I bought it with 3000 miles so its practically new. I've had it for two weeks as now and I hope this forum is as good as the one I came from. www.escape-city.com.
