I feel the same way about my Edge. I had a 2004 Escape and Torrie's tunes made a huge difference in shifting. Im going to get a SCT tuner from him in the next few months then I can change the shift points and the firmness of the shifts.

Once you do get them out I would lube up the studs with some dielectric grease. That's what I did when I pulled mine out and they release much better.

My other car a 2010 Mercury Milan just had a recall for the same throttle body issue. I think it any of the 2010+ Duratec v6 engines. Ford reprogramed the car so that if the throttle body issue happens it will have more power than previously. I think that the PCM is programmed to lower power to protect the engine.

Limited has HID as and option. Depending on the year it came as a stand alone option or in one or two packages. It came with my Edge, package 301a (VISTA ROOF, HID LIGHTS, DRIVER ENTRY, POWER LIFTGATE, AND NAVIGATION)

I don't have this problem. It's only about 1/4 inch showing on mine and it is equal all the way across. I was thinking if I had the problem I wouldn't want them to touch the liner because of the finesse it takes to remove and install a new one. I would just have them pay to get a 1" strip of limo tint installed at the top of the windshield. Most cars have some blackout or tint at the top of the windshield preventing this from ever showing.

PM'd. I was told by the salesmen when I bought the car that its louder than a moon roof because it is so large. Maybe he didnt know what he was talking about.

Yup, I was very impressed when I used it. I couldnt believe it dries/cures in 10 minutes for full use. I was even thinking that I would be pretty awesome for custom color changing. Im happy it worked out for you.

Just letting you know I had wind noise too. My 2012 Edge Limited has the same sound proofing as the MKX. I bought it in January 2014, so it sat on the lot from delivery until I bought it. Pretty much 2 years. They replaced all the weather stripping around the door jambs because of shrinking away from the cars door frames. Now I dont have a peep. Also your Hyundai Santa Fe has a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder Turbo (264hp) vs the Lincolns engine vs a 3.7 liter V6 (305hp) Kinda hard to compare MPG.

Anyone else have the black VIN bar codes printed on their window glass?

Also they put better sound proofing in all of the MKX's. I know the 2011+ EDGE LIMITED's have the same sound proofing and laminated glass as the Lincolns, but im not sure about the 2007-2010's. It makes a huge difference on road and wind noise.

Let me know that would be great. Im going to wait to bring it to the dealer until Im at the dealer for maintanance. A video would be awesome. Please. Pretty please. lol.

I miss my old charcoal wheels they look great with the trim. I love the style too. Great choice.

That chrome trim is really easy to remove and install. I think I used a torx screwdriver when I had to reinstall mine because it was installed wrong from the factory. Two screws, one on each end.

Thanks for your response. I will get it checked out. Is your really quiet? I don't know if moonroof motor should sound the same as the shade motor?

Other than one issue with my chrome grille finish being "damaged"(starting to get cloudy). That they say is caused from unknown environmental causes. I'm satisfied with my 2012 Limited.

The hitch frame is not visible. you only see the square part where the hitch slides in.

I think they fixed this in the 2015. I saw a slot for the shade. And FYI they make a shade that that can be retrofitted into the cargo area. Mostly made in china though. I think the biggest problem is the shape of the cargo area and the power liftgate support arm gets in the way of a shade type cover.

They look great. I like my chrome but if anything happened to them I would do what you did but with a gunmetal metallic. I like the machined holes.
