  1. I don't think anything major. Something is just loose somewhere and I need to locate/fix it. You'll love how quiet you Sport is.
  2. To me, the lock and unlock sounds the same. So when I touch the handle to lock, I'm not 100% positive that it locked vs. maybe I touched the wrong part of the handle and it tried to unlock. Just a personal thing.
  3. Yes there is a Red LED. But in the sun, it isn't easy to see. And who wants to stand there staring at some light waiting for it to blink. A short beep from the car would be awesome. For me it is easier to just hit the lock button my Fob so I know for sure it is locked. As for the Lexus, I don't know why it was faster. It just was. I feel with the Ford when I go to open the door, I'm pulling it too fast before it unlocks.
  4. You may want to read around about the Drivers Assistance Package. It seems cars equipped with that option were looking at a May (Earliest) build date. But now I am reading that it has been pushed to September.
  5. The car is a week old, so there is nothing in it except me, the key fob, and my car charger. I had my 8 year old daughter in the back last night trying to find the spot. She thinks it is coming from the area where the rear selt belt goes in to the floor (bottom).
  6. Yes it does. I noticed the setting yesterday and was going to look up what it was.
  7. The ambient lighting is also under the dash so that color shows in the footwells of the front driver/passenger. The setting is within the Sync system and a bunch of colored balls pop up where you can choose which color you'd like.
  8. Door locks: This option is nice. I have used it on other cars (lexus) which I think was implemented a little better because I felt it was executed the way it should be. With the Ford version, if you grab the handle and pull, it is still locked. You have to be slow. Grip the handle, listen for the pop, and then pull open. Not a huge deal but you need to get used to the process. To lock, you just touch the top of the handle where it has these 3 lines on the handle. Pretty cool....but you don't get much of a response from the car that it has locked since there is no physical lock "shafts" that go up and down on top of the door. With the Lexus, the lock was a physical button you pushed on the handle and it beeped when locked. Another issue is it is very sensitive. If you have the Fob in your pocket while washing the car, every time the sponge touches the handle it unlocks the door. So you hear "Click....Click....Click" while washing the door. The push start is nice. If for some reason you leave your fob in your pocket, you get out, and the car is running...it will honk the horn quickly twice to remind you that the fob is not in the car. Auto lift gate is nice too. Especially if you have the senors under the tail that allows you to trigger it to open/close with a wave of your foot. Tip: You can adjust the height of how high the lift gate goes up with the auto lift. So if you have a low ceiling in your garage or have a canoe on top, set it so it doesn't go that high in case of an accidental lift.
  9. Buckled the rear seat belt so it wasn't near the trim.....didn't help. That rattle is still somewhere. I'll try to find it this weekend when someone can drive around while i sit back there.
  10. Noticed this morning that when I'm driving and the radio is off, I can hear a slight rattle coming from somewhere behind the driver's seat. Seems low. Like the rear door. Anyone else notice this? UPDATED: Lexiicon found the issue. See post #34 for Pics.: Video of the location of the cover: https://youtu.be/sHs14Yr0NUM
  11. I have the ambient lighting and while cool, not something I preferably care for.
  12. Details on your sport? Color? Options?
  13. I agree about leasing as long as you can stay within the mileage. I also plan on having a car payment in my budget for the forseeable future because I like newer vehicles and hate vehicles out of warranty.
  14. I went with 36 month. The 24 month was $11/mth cheaper
  15. That is how I feel too. If they are going below Z-Plan, then where is the catch? That is why I only deal with "Out the door" numbers when talking with dealers. I have ended deals with a lot of dealers in the past based on them not giving out the door pricing. I have no problem walking away from a deal. That is why I liked dealing with the sales guy this time. Always out the door pricing. Always "due at signing" numbers. Never tried to be sneaky about anything.
  16. 615 miles on my 2015 Edge
  17. I had Z plan so like you said, there was no negotiating. According to someone else, you can still negotiate with Z plan. He said you just mass email your intention of buying/leasing the Edge with these options, you qualify for Z plan, and will go with the best price. I'm not sure how much truth there is to that given Z plan is a very good price IMO. But maybe some dealers will bypass Z plan and discount appropriately.
  18. I never owned an Edge. I did rent 3-4 between 2011-2014. I always loved the styling of the 2011+ Edges and always said it would be my next vehicle. Originally I test drove a 14 Limited model that was left in stock that I wanted. I figured the rebates would be excellent on them since the '15s were on the lot. As I expected, I liked the vehicle. But I felt the car was a bit dated vs. other competitor vehicles I had driven. After the test drive, I asked the salesman if I could take a look at the inside of a 15. Once I got in (it was a Titanium), I immediately knew that the 2015 was my new goal. The 14, while a nice vehicle, needed an update and it got a good one. I felt the interior was very much improved. The sound dampening was excellent. The quality of materials improved. I leased this one. I felt the lease was very strong and they residualized very well. I was surprised that I could get in to the Sport at around the same price as an SEL and have more bells/whistles as the SEL. The sales guy himself was suprised and said "These are still new, so I"m learning with you. These are residualized nicely so that is why I suggest we look at the Sport".
  19. Bought from stock. This one was not listed on their website. He said it just arrived. I saw a silver one too that I liked so it was between the silver sport and my white one. Vin ending 26446
  20. I went in to the service area and saw that. My sales guy sent me all the paperwork beforehand. So I showed up, gave him the papers, he gave me the keys, I went out and started setting my stuff up, he comes out with the plate. Done. When I showed up he was in the process of finalizing a deal with another couple.
  21. One thing that I've found that bugs me on the Sport, is this trim piece on the bottom of the door. On the SEL models it is black trim and on the Sport it is painted. Well as you can see, dirt gets in where the trim piece meets the door and it is not easy to get in there with a sponge or wash mitt. So i'll have to get a small padded tool to clean that area out. On the SEL where it is black, you won't see the dirt as easy.
  22. Not surprised. The sales guy was on point and always doing whatever it took to get me in the car I wanted. Never trying to upsell me anything or put me in a different vehicle. Not pushy at all. And their showroom is pretty bad ass. Something you usually see with higher end cars like Lexus.
  23. Bronze Fire is a real cool color. I've seen it on an Edge in person at one of the local dealers here. You'll love it. Yes there is a hump. See pic below. Not sure how it compares to the older edge but it isn't real large of a hump. As for weather mats, according to Ford Accessories, the mats are sold in a 3-Pc set. So that tells me it'll be one long mat. Same goes for weathertech. There are always alternatives out there for the rears where you can get two separate mats for the rear. You'll be happy with the 3.5L V6 and the Titanium Package. I drove one of those too and was not disappointed in the power or the way it drove.
  24. I too have the last second "slam" before the mechanism pulls the door completely closed. I looked at my alignment too and just by looking back and forth, it seems my passenger side gap is a little larger than the driver side. I'll have to take a tape measure to see exactly how "off" it may be. '15 Edge Sport EDIT: To add, I averaged 22mpg when driving from MI to VA. 2.7L Ecoboost.
