  1. Suburban Ford in Sterling Heights, MI
  2. I've driven neither the Explorer Sport or the SHO, so I can't comment. I haven't jumped on it off the line. I think these Ecoboost see most of their power around 3k RPM. Thanks for the Sync tip
  3. The Admins can delete my last thread because it is no longer accurate: Picked up my 15' Sport this weekend and drove it back to VA from MI. Pics are below. First Impressions: - The 2.7L Ecoboost is great on the highway. Has the power when I needed it. I have an '11 Mustang GT so I was worried about not having much power that I'm used to. I was surprised at what the Sport provided. I averaged 22 MPG over the trip. - Quiet. Really quiet inside on the highway. They've sealed this thing up so good, it is hard to shut the doors all the way. You need to give it more of a shove than must vehicles. - Radio (Sony) is nice. Sounds good. Questions I have: - Anyone use their Android phone with two vehicles that have Sync? When I went to pair with the Edge, it thought I was in my Mustang so it didn't show "Sync" as a new device. I had to forget the device on my phone and pair with the Edge's Sync. I'd like to be able to go car to car without issues pairing. Feel free to post your questions, and I'll answer for you.
  4. Is this mechanism used on 2015 model year Edge vehicles?
  5. Why is this in the 2015 forum? Is this a known issue on the 2015?
  6. Some things I learned while looking at the new Edge. - The power lift gate can be set to how high you want it to lift. So if you have a canoe on top or have a low garage door, you can set it so the liftgate will only go so high and avoid an accident. - The headrests adjust all over the place. You should be able to adjust/tilt them to your liking. - Not sure about the "Blue Courtesy Light". That may be the ambient light option so it may not be standard across Trim levels. - The power lift gate not only opens when you wave your foot under it......it also closes that way. - It'll come with 6 months free Sirius/XM. After six months is up and it shuts off, you can get it for free for two more months. Just search online. No CC required. Then after that is up, call and tell them your radio shut off. Sirius will say you need a subscription and give you the options. Tell them too expensive. Do that until they offer 5-6 months for like $35 (after all fees). And keep doing it to save a lot of money over the years. I've been doing this since 2004. -
  7. Part on the Ford site says some trimming may be required but "Not For Use With Edge Sport" http://accessories.ford.com/catalog/product/view/id/8755/s/trailer-hitch/category/3011/
  8. Not knocking the brand. I drive a Ford now and will always give Ford a chance. Standby though...there may be another update to this thread
  9. Can you still have a hitch installed on the Sport? Or will it require some modifications to the rear valance?
  10. I'm done for now. Ford and their dealer make it a headache to get a deal done. I'll try another brand even if it takes a few more bucks. I'm done jumping through hoops and dealing with liars in order to pay somebody thousands of dollars for a vehicle. They should be the ones catering to their customers.
  11. Another update. The manager "misquoted" the vehicle. Wouldn't stand behind original offer we agreed on. I walked away. Many more dealers in this world thankfully.
  12. UPDATE: Looks like I'm getting a White Sport - AWD 3.7 instead due to some option issues with the first one. v
  13. I too see that the rails are gone from FordParts.com . They were ~$250 per side. Curious what is going on. Benny said he was not sure if they'd offer it as an accessory.
  14. White with Ebony interior
  15. Black Plastic I am going to use Solutions Finish (must prep according to directions for best results) For paint, I use spray waxes. I like Duragloss Aquawax, Meguiars, and Optimum Car Wax. Usually apply a sealant like Poli-Seal on an annual or bi-annual basis. Optimum No Rinse washes a few times a week Spray wax once a month. That will keep your paint looking brand new and protected. It is all my Mustang ever saw.
  16. Have a 2015 with no rails. If anyone is up for trade, feel free to PM me. I will handle shipping both ways.
  17. UPDATE: Looks like I'm getting a White Sport - AWD 3.7 instead due to some option issues with the first one. Picking up a SEL (AWD 3.5) this weekend. This will be my first Edge. Currently driving an '11 Mustang GT that will become my nice weather/weekend car. Look forward to reading about the Edge here and offering any help I can to other members. Go Wings!!!!
  18. Picking up a new Edge this weekend. The one I want is only missing the roof rails. According to the dealer, the rails are not available for purchase as an accessory yet. He stated they had the same issue with the Flex when they first came out. Any idea on when we could see these become available?
