  1. Exactly. I am going to check my floors after work. It just rained hard here and my Edge is outside. It has rained a few times, pretty hard, since I bought the Edge and haven't noticed any water or musty smell. But I'd really like to see where this seal is and if I can access it to verify it is in fact sealed.
  2. Jackie. Some info on the grill shutters: http://www.ford.com/crossovers/edge/features/#page=Feature18
  3. I'm curious why the body seal leaking issue isn't getting any attention. The thread is in "The Lounge" which seems like a strange place to put it. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/17965-driver-floor-is-soaking-wet/
  4. Can anyone provide a picture or schematic of where the failure is occurring so current '15 Edge owners can check their vehicles for a bad production.
  5. Are you saying you've had wet floors and electronic issues? Or are you saying you've read a lot about the Edge (older model) with those issues? Welcome
  6. Put your VIN in at the link below. This will get you the window sticker for your vehicle. Then you can see if the package was included from the factory: http://www.kwford.com/look-up-window-sticker-ford_lincoln_mercury.aspx
  7. Did you hold the cover in place first with something while it dried? Just trying to look at all options of a fix.
  8. Looking to get a sunshade like the one linked below. AutoAnything claims these fit the '15 Edge but also the '14 edge. Given the design change, I am skeptical if they are interchangeable. I have the same brand sunshade in my Mustang and it fits perfect for that windshield. Anyone with a 2014 or older Edge that can say if there is a difference in the size of the windshield. Or someone who has a sunshade that works for the 2015? http://www.autoanything.com/driving-accessories/60A4065A0A0.aspx
  9. From my experience in the past, it can take a long time to index. And yes, it is a one time thing. What I would test is just put an album or two on the drive. That should index pretty quickly.
  10. I was thinking metal screw to the frame LOL
  11. Just wondering how long the double sided tape will hold.
  12. Here is a video I made pointing to the cover and front pin. On phone so can't embed right now https://youtu.be/sHs14Yr0NUM
  13. Wedge, If you are looking at the rear passenger door.....drivers side. The cover runs from about the middle of the door to the rear of the door. This is actually under the car but right against the drivers side of the car. If you lay on your back with your head under your car at the middle of the rear door, you will see the black plastic cover we are talking about. It has on plastic pushpin holding it to the frame toward the front of the vehicle. Then as the cover goes toward the rear, it gets wide. So no not the tailgate.
  14. So I did the fix likr Lexiicon and the rattle is gone. That front pushpin is where my rattle is at. Pulled the pin, cleaned the surface, put some 3m tape on it, and reinstall. That pushpin isn't doing anything for support. Bad design.
  15. Thanks. Will do it on mine and report back. I did try the storage bin fix as mentioned above with no luck.
  16. Awesome. Which pic is when it is fixed? And can you provide more info on exact location of this cover. Thanks.
  17. Looks good. I too am planning on tinting the fronts and was curious what % it would take to match the rear.
  18. Fingers crossed that it stays quiet. I may try the same tomorrow
  19. This is correct. You need a MI address to lease within the state. I just happen to have an address in MI I can use and was able to get around that requirement.
  20. What exactly do you want to know? Maintenance: Follow what the Owner Manual says and you should be just fine. Keep the tires inflated to the correct pressure (which you can monitor through my ford touch) and add some when it is obviously getting low. Check oil and keep it topped off. And on and on As for care, this is where my specialty is. If you want to keep it looking new and swirl free my advice is: 1. Don't use one of those car washes that has brushes, etc. that rub against your paint. That'll be sure to create micro-swirls over time. And a lot of times the soap they use will strip any protection and not be good for plastic/rubber. 2. Use a proper wash technique. That means a good wash mitt, maybe a two bucket system, a good car soap like Meguiars Gold (find it anywhere/everywhere, a good process (Do a panel, rinse mitt, go from the top down, do wheels/tires last with a dedicated old mitt that won't touch your paint, and spray the car down it it is real dirty before washing), and use good drying towels (waffle weave microfiber. Don't wash them with regular laundry. Wash them separate with other microfiber, dry on low, NEVER use fabric softner. You do that and your car will stay swirl free. 3. Protect. This is where it can vary from minimal to crazy OCD type protection. I fall in the middle. But at a minimum, use a spray wax every few weeks after washing. If you want a little more protection or want me to expand on other options, let me know. There are a few spray waxes you can find at Auto Zone, Pep Boys, or Advance Auto that'll work just fine. I like to stick to Meguiars if I'm buying at the store followed by Mothers or Griots Garage.
  21. So what you are saying is we put our right foot in, put our right foot out, put our left foot in, and we shake it all about?
  22. Great article. Link for ease of use: http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/130852-hands-on-wii-like-sensor-plus-a-gentle-kick-opens-ford-escapes-liftgate
  23. Agree. Suburban Ford is who I used (as Magnetic Said) and they are awesome to deal with.
  24. Good question. Because I was under the vehicle yesterday looking for it with no luck. My liftgate works fine and is pretty sensitive. I was applying some trim/tire guard to the rear valance with my fob in my pocket, and it kept triggering the liftgate. I have the Sport with no hitch.
