  1. So correct me if I am wrong, I don't think there is a "Lincoln" for the European market. Because the features like the larger EB engine and LED signature and headlines are features of the MKX. I assume in order to make MKX market differentiated from the Edge. So following my assumption, if there is no Lincoln in Europe, then they add features to the existing Edge in those market where Lincoln does not exist. My2₵
  2. Look though the order guide thread http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/19022-2016-ford-edge-order-guide/?hl=%2Border+%2Bguide
  3. For what it worth, my Sonata Hybrid has Active Grill shutters in order to improve aerodynamics. And it has a very low drag coefficient. It's all about the wind tunnels
  4. Now if Costcoauto and Truecar can just get their discounted prices, then I can't wait to see what kind of deal can be swung.
  5. Allure Blue in Lincoln https://www.acttestpanels.com/uploads/documents/Certified_Ford_Color_Form.pdf Too Good to be Blue (Allure Blue) M7347
  6. Here is the latest update from Donlen, according to their posting, order acceptance is 10/12 (Monday), Production scheduling start moved to 10/22.... So maybe shortly... http://donlen.com/contentwide.aspx?id=4294967399&terms=ford
  7. Here is the latest update, nothing major changed on 2016, they moved prod scheduling date back 3 days. Also it looks like the pushed out the final dates for the 2015. http://donlen.com/contentwide.aspx?id=4294967399&terms=ford
  8. Sure I will mention any of those 3 items Good luck with through the glass, I had one 10+ years ago for 2 and 440, the coverage was not as good as I liked (directional lobe), but truthfully with all the repeaters now-a-days, I'm not sure it would make a difference unless you are trying to run 50w rig or are a long way from the repeater. I am not sure about the suction cup concept, I figure if the antenna was design to be "drill a hole" type, it needs more ground plane larger than a 1-2 ft square of metal....But the wizard did say it was just a temporary mount, but modern vehicles have less and less sheet metal so it is hard... To each his own...
  9. Please post your results, as I will need some suggestions later this year (early next) when I get a 2016. 73's Mike
  10. I would suggest talking to a dealer, the "Donlen" website is for fleet sales, so it could vary. Personally, I am going to wait till mid to late October, if production startup is not until December now. My2c
  11. Arrrggggg.....Yet another delay in startup..... At this rate it will be Easter before I would see a 2016.
  12. I started this thread back in april, one person posted that it was a Chinese version.... Regardless, maybe by next spring we could find them on ebay for a customization project I still think that fog lamps provide good lighting for the close range when driving. My2cents.
  13. The 2016 MKX I test drove Saturday was sync 2, and I even had the sales person to ask the manager if sync 3 would be available on Job 2 of the MKX. Of course they did not know... But I did test drive the 2016 MKC, and it did have sync 3, and just as advertised it was very responsive. But the MKC is toooooo small, and for the same price about you could get a load Edge with more features.
  14. PROsShifterless console, button shifter. I like the concept, because when do you really need the shifter.... when you stop and when you backup, and that for most people is maybe 5% at most of the drive time.... and it frees up space in the drivers area. Audio quality with Revel (non-Ultima) is pretty nice, the sad part about it, it would probably be nicer than the sound system that I have at home. Features that are in the Reserved level, like greeting lighting, instead of just light all the led/lights at once that gradually come on. Neat feature, and probably unique in it's class, but I am sure other high end vehicle might do similar features. Ride quality - the CCD (Continuously controlled damping) is pretty neat that you really can feel difference from the comfort to sport modes. 3600 camera, it was nice to see this feature not only front and back but on the sides of the vehicle. I liked the feature that is in the 15 Murano. But I think Fords front camera I think is a better design. Folding mirrors, a nice feature to have. CONsCenter console much higher and reduces leg room lower gas mileage, I think I could be just a happy with the 2.0L like in the edge Pricey option for the LED headlamps, you have to order the luxury package that includes the LED headlamps and the Revel Ultima audio $4.4K OUCH Overall high price, about $10K if you compare it to a fully loaded Titanium Edge, but you do get quite a few options for the $10K, so maybe it worth it...... Oh yea your paying for the cachet.... I am sure there are other things that I have forgotten about since my drive on Saturday, But the really decision maker for me, will the MKX have Sync 3 in Job 2, and when will it happen???? My guess is it would be the same time as the 2016 Edge comes out, since I come from the same factory, and I am sure under the covers the vehicles are more alike than not. And do I really need to drop another $10K and will the buy me any long term value (resale). My two cents, Mike
  15. I test drove a MKX yesterday, and it did have the Pre-Collision Assist package.
  16. I thought I read that another ford vehicle had it working, but I could be wrong. Regardless, if 2016 production does not begin until the middle of November, I would hope so. Also there has got to be a lot of people that have there orders on hold waiting for it. That be more egg on the face, if it fell through....
  17. Check out this thread http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/18340-auto-startstop-on-20l-titanium-302a/
  18. Alex on Auto's always has pretty detailed reviews, one of the best detail and good comparisons to competitors.
  19. I am pretty sure he was talking about SiriusXM not receiving from the satelite, not cell service.
  20. So just finished watching the Sync 3 video and I was surprised to hear (according to the sales guy), that all new sync 3 vehicles will get 5 years (yes not months!) of SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link services. Granted it is not up to date as getting the data from your phone, still pretty good. After watching this, I know that sync 3 is a must, based on speed, performance and functionality. It going to be a long wait for the 2016's this fall
  21. Most manufactures have sensors that if the tailgate hits or is impeded by something they automatically reverses.
  22. I found this on the ford site, which alludes to the 2.0L has it... The next paragraph starts talking about the 2.7L... but the key word may be "available". You maybe correct that the AWD does not have it, which would be let down. https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/products/crossovers---suvs/edge/2015-edge.html Update: Just found this on the Brochure.
