Hello all...I posted in another area, but I also have the b-pillar snapping noise, mostly over rougher roads. I think the issue is the rest of the interior is so quiet! Anyhow, I'll keep reading to see if you folks get resolution, as I don't like the radio being up so loud everyday. Certainly don't like other folks driving the "new" Edge and hearing the noise. Thanks all. BTW, anyone considered just packing the possibly offending area with JB Weld?

Hello all. I have a rattle at the top of the drivers side b-pillar. Over very smooth roads its quiet, but most road vibrations cause the noise...just above my ear...so its annoying. Its a 2015 Edge Sport. Any advice how to remove that plastic panel that includes the shoulder harness adjuster? It may be related to the airbag up in that area. I should probably let the dealer fix it, but I have a very busy schedule, and was hoping I could access the area some evening. I also fear the dealer will make it worse, to be honest. The Edge also has the panoramic sun roof, so maybe that's the cause.

By the way, I also determined that the black plastic "pointed" trim pieces along the lower part of the door on my 2015 Edge Sport are also responsible for some noise (or so I think). In a recent, "spirited" ride from phoenix to Vegas, when I hit speeds somewhere above the posted limit, I heard a noise from the passenger door area. When I came home and investigated the door, I found that the part that wraps under the door wasn't secured tightly, and could possibly vibrate against the under part of the door. A couple squeezes of silicone adhesive between the two pieces, and viola, no more noise...as of now. I'm also going to squeeze some silicone adhesive under the car where those "aero" panels are held up with push-in buttons. Those worked loose on my Fusion.

That padded strip of plastic made the same "creaking" noise as I drove my 2013 Fusion. Same in the 2015 Edge Sport.....must be the same supplier

Avoid wheel spin? LOL...entering local freeways my FWD 2.7 lights up the front tire(s) with little effort, even from a rolling start. What I discovered is that with all the sound deadening, inside the cabin with windows up, you don't hear it, but they're spinning all right. It takes a lot of patience to find the throttle point where one can accelerate without burning the tires. I'm reminded of all the car brochures I read growing up: "sparkling acceleration", "brisk" performance, and the ever loved "spirited".

2013 Fusion SE w/1.6L Ecoboost, luxury package and 6-speed manual. I had a Focus ST on order to replace it ( I drive a lot of miles per year and replace about every 2-3 years). The ST kept getting delayed without a good reason, and I had a buyer jump on the Fusion, so I was a bit pressured to buy something off the lot. My preferred dealer just got delivery of it's first 2015 Edge Sport, and after having driven a SEL a couple days earlier, and hoping for just a bit bit more pizzazz, jumped on the Sport when he told me about it. Like another responder, I miss my manual trans. This is the first automatic trans car I've owned in 30-plus years. The rest is great, though the torque steer is a bit intense (it would be with the ST too of course).

So I'm a bit confused. I have a non-HID headlamp assembly. I think my high beam and DRL are the same bulb, a 9005LL per my owners manual. So if I get an LED to replace my DRL, will that same bulb be bright enough to work as a high beam? Thanks in advance!

Hi all, for whatever it's worth, my 2015 Edge Sport doesn't have that noise problem, but my 2013 Fusion...that's another story. I heard the low drumming noise above 60 MPH, and I kind of thought of those aero panels right away. Sure enough the push pin on the right rear, leading edge of the panel was loose, and was allowing the panel to vibrate at speed. My fix of choice was a tube of epoxe glue, liberally squirted between the panel and the body, and left with a portable jack overnight, pushing the panel against the "frame" to set up. After that, the panel was tight, and the noise gone. I kind of expect the same on the Edge, as the system used to secure the panels looks the same as the Fusion.

Hi all...2.7 EB Sport here with about 2,600 miles so far. I live in a suburban area of Phoenix, and have a commute of about 90 miles per day, most of it on the freeway, at about 70 MPH average, though sometimes at 80 and sometimes dead stop, bumper to bumper. When I'm on the freeway, I try to max out the MPG gauge...like the proverbial egg under the pedal. Around town, I drive average posted speeds, and probably average 3-4 "full throttle" instances per day. (Just to merge onto the freeway of course.) Probably 50% of the time with windows up and AC on. I've tried all the way from 87 octane up to 91...the highest available around town. So far, my average is 27.2, and still climbing...maybe one tenth every other day, though the increase is slowing. (I took delivery at 8 MPG!) I'd be very pleased with 27 average given the performance. I suspect all the gentle throttle on the freeway helps. My last car, a 1.6 EB Fusion with 6-speed manual, averaged 33.2 over 43,000 miles.

Hello all...so I live in Phoenix where we don't get nearly the rain some of you do, but it did rain here today, and so I thought I'd check my 2015 Edge Sport. My carpeting is all dry, but I did notice something. I read about A-pillar leaks, and under the hood. But all looked Ok there. So I opened the door, and looked where the A-pillar meets the fender, above the top door hinge. What I saw was a caulk / foam kind of seal. And it doesnT look great. It runs from the top of the fender, all the way down between the panels. Mine has some gaps at the top, and doesn't extend to the very bottom. Perhaps this is the issue?

Hello all, just my two cents, but there is pretty significant torque steer in the Sport. I have 2,000 miles on mine, and lets just say, with only FWD, it can be exciting!

Actually got rain, in June, in Phoenix today. I went out and felt the carpeting, and no moisture in my 2015 Edge Sport. Maybe it comes from driving in deep puddles?
