  1. Thanks for the pics. She's sexy! Reminds me of the new Volvos. Did you get your wheels powder coated?
  2. Ford and Mazda has been in bed with each other for a long time. On some of the models some parts are interchangeable. Perfect example is the control arm you mentioned. If you plan on keeping this car for a long time I would suggest going with a stock control arm. Replacing the control arm is relatively straight forward but there are other parts involved. Not sure its worth it to go with the Mazda unit if the ancillary parts end up costing you more. You have to see if the dollars make cents to you. Good Luck.

I believe (not wanting to assume) that Omar is asking which edge did you get? I.E. Sport etc
  4. Can you post a sound clip when you have a chance?
  5. IIRC the gen 1.5 sport models were not offered with an alternate wheel size. You may want to check for brake clearance prior to going down 4" in size.
  6. Just received my sway-bar as well ..... and yes Jim its not installed yet!
  7. Congrats on your new acquisition! Welcome to the group! Enjoy your stay!
  8. Here is all the info you need except for the keys. You need the hood switch kit and the VSS and the Antenna https://accessories.ford.com/electronics/remote-start.html Key info (just for example) https://www.amazon.com/Ford-Keyless-Remote-5-Button-Proximity/dp/B013F4AKBQ I have this key for my 2017 https://www.amazon.com/Ford-5-Button-Smart-Proximity-M3N-A2C93142600/dp/B076TDYV2P/ref=sr_1_cc_2?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1533359033&vehicle=2018-54-2816-------------0&sr=1-2-catcorr&ymm=2018%3Aford%3Afusion&keywords=2018+fusion+key+fob You need the hood switch kit and the VSS and the Antenae
  9. You have two options for remote start. You can use smartlink and remote start via phone. Or you can purchase the VSS and the antennae for your car. Programming the keys takes around 10-15 min but they will charge you a half an hour. I'd suggest shopping online for a 5 button or 4 button key (depending on if you have power trunk etc. You can use the keys from the edge, fusion, explorer or F150. They are infinitely cheaper online as opposed to the dealership. The saving grace is that most dealerships will cut your keys for free if you get them programmed there. Or you can program them yourself if you have two master keys. I agree with you, I thought the programming for remote start required IDS and can not be done via forscan,
  10. I have been looking high and low for a keyfob cover for my 2017 sport. Thanks for the link. Fits snug as a bug in a rug!
  11. No affiliation with the seller etc.... Inspect them before you buy them etc.... https://newyork.crai...6648190108.html

  13. Congrats! Welcome to the forum!
  14. Anything that is not factory installed will not be covered under your 3 year 36K mile warranty. The parts and labor may have a warranty but that would be whatever your dealership says it is. According to his gallery his edge is a 2018 edge sport.
  15. Feel free to post some pics from different angles! I like the way she looks!
  16. Ironically enough I have one for sale for $600 including the amp. Just never got around to listing it.
  17. Smartlink was supposed to be available nation wide in mid 2018. https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2018/03/21/upgrade-connected-features-on-your-older-model-ford-with-new-for.html I found it at Fairway Ford for $345 https://www.fairwayfordparts.net/oem-parts/ford-ford-pass-smartlink-start-from-your-vehicle-from-your-phone-vhl3z14f642a?gclid=CjwKCAjw7IbaBRBqEiwA6AyZgqCV6HYUJwrgriN-xPqwjMni4AYumcoFutXdlZPQq9Wc9aRWmxxAjBoCrJYQAvD_BwE 2 years of service are provided with the unit. Conversely I found it for $306.36 at Tasca Parts https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-module-smart-data-link-vhl3z14f642a Tasca doesn't provide any info if service is included or not. Here is a link to a ford truck forum in which a user posted screen shots and described his process etc..... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1533202-ford-smartlink-3.html Ford's RMU has been discontinued and pricing from various vendors are reflecting that. Not to mention that in addition to the RMU you also need a VSS module. But when its all said and done the cost is $50 a year for the service albeit with a lot less functionality...... Not that all the bells and whistles aren't nice they just don't add to the functionality. I wonder how much smart link will cost after the initial 2 years. It would be great it they offer a la cart pricing etc.
  18. IIRC the PTU that you are referring to is on the 2.0EB. Its definitely not on my sport!
  19. Not sure what Ford/ Sony did with the DSP, but I find that turning down the midrange a notch or two from the far left helps to take the muddiness from the sound.
  20. I have used Toyo ST tires before in the past with no worries nor complaints.
