Ah I see. I've taken oil to dealerships/ oil change places and they offer a small and or no discount for using your fluids. I guess the best suggestion would be to call before you're stuck with oil that you can't use. Alternatively there are auto trade schools/ high school auto shop classes that do not charge labor but will provide service if you supply your own parts. The students do the work and all work is overseen and checked and verified by the instructor. Don't know if that is an option but it could be something worth looking in too.

Hey guys on the fence about choosing a tuner. I know some peeps feel strongly about their tuners. I know 037 prefers LMS, I know Nick prefers Unleashed. I know Jim prefers NS. IIRC there are two Oasis reports. One will detail any and all work done on a ford vehicle that was performed at a dealership. I would not be alarmed if the oasis report doesn't reflect oil changes etc (most people do not take their vehicle for maintenance, but most if not all do for warranty work.) A different Oasis report contains the build sheet. Similar to the window sticker if not the same. HTH

The dealer may be aware or they very well may not. If you bring it up to their attention and they want to act like Hellen Keller call Ford Corporate and tell them. They are very open and receptive to local dealership concerns/ complaints.

The carlite/ soundscreen symbol is not as obvious as it is on the gen1.5, but it is on the gen 2.

Vredestein are carried at a few wheel and tire shops near me. (Emphasis on wheel) Never really considered them because they are summer tires. Ironically enough on their website they have winter tires.... perhaps one day they will one day they will make an all season tire. They do look good though.

Seems like Ford is shoving the BAMF window down your throat if you want ST with the 401A! While its enjoyable its certainly not a must have.

There are quite a few differences. Off the top of my head i'd have to say luxury and sound deadening. Different shift points in the transmission and adjustable suspension.

I had the same issue. The dealership said that while they were troubleshooting and diagnosing it the liftgate started to function properly. I asked what was the issue the service rep said that "since it was functioning properly they were no longer required I.E. paid to look into it further." When pressed further he asked the tech and the tech said he doesn't know......
