  1. I was reviewing my order last night and noticed that my order Priority was 10. Hopefully that means I will receive it in a timely manner. I guess it will be here when it gets here....
  2. I too have had bad experiences, but I chalk those up to being the out layers. For the most part extended warranties are a waste, but like I said earlier this has to be judged by each person. I would never fault anyone for buying one. Note: Having problems with a Mitsubishi does not surprise me as they have had a tough time for awhile now with their diminishing market share, but surprised with the Acura as Honda has had a good track record with reliability. Again, I would chalk this up to the out layers. Best of luck everyone...
  3. akirby, Thanks for the great information. I appreciate the quick follow up.
  4. Corey, Nice numbers. This is only the beginning of what will be achieved with this vehicle. Keep everyone updated on your progress...
  5. What does this all mean? Is priority 80 a good thing or a bad thing? What is the best priority to be in for receiving your vehicle the quickest? thanks,
  6. Turbo charged cars of the past (more than 10yrs ago) did suffer some from higher maintenance cost, but that was not until well after 100k miles. This was usually the result of not maintaining the fuel and cooling systems correctly. Routine maintenance is not different. It is important no matter whether it is normally aspirated or force inducted. I trust today's force inducted engines more than ever as they are taking all of the experience learned with diesel engines and applying that to the engines. Diesel engines run for well over 300k miles and are tortured getting there. Also, I would not buy an extended warranty unless you intend to keep the vehicle well past 60k miles. You will be wasting your money on something you will most likely never use. If you understand one of the key concepts around reliability following the Bathtub Curve, you will notice that once you get past "Infant Mortality" the chance a failure will occur goes down significantly. The car has a 3yr 36k mileage bumper to bumper / 5yr 60k mileage powertrain warranty that will get you well past that region. Then you fall into the "Useful Life" portion which relies heavily on timely, correct preventative maintenance (routine inspection, cleaning, and service). My education and experience (I am a Reliability Engineer) have taught me that the majority of extended warranties are a waste of money and simply not needed. With all of this said, have I bought an extended warranty before? Absolutely!!! If I thought I was going to use something much harder than what the typical use would be or if I was going to stretch the boundaries of typical use, then I bought an extended warranty. I doubt any of us will stretch the boundaries of use or even get close to what Ford did from a testing perspective. So now for a quick response to a question I'm sure someone will say or ask "why do cars break down then?', if you are saying that the likely hood is low. Simple, we cannot underestimate the human factor that go into building and maintaining these machines. Infant mortality failures are largely due to design, installation, service and operation. This is simply not the time the vehicle is new, it occurs every time you have the vehicle serviced or repaired. So the best thing we can do is get educated on how to routinely inspect and clean our vehicles. Note: There will always be out layers to this methodology as there is with everything in life, so do what you think is best for yourself. If getting an extended warranty makes you feel better then by all means do so. You cannot underestimate the power of your own internal psychology.
  7. Congrats on your order...Did they give you a price? MIne is similarly equipped and it came in at 46,600 - XPlan. Now with that said, the price could end up a little different once it is delivered. The dealership said that often times the numbers presented in the order guide at time of order can vary slightly once delivered. He said usually better for the customer, but he said we will have to see...
  8. What drove you to buy fwd versus awd? That is a lot of power to push through a fwd only vehicle. I bet it brings a smile to your face when you step on the gas...
  9. Congrats on your order. Let everyone know when it comes in...
  10. As a 2015 F150KR owner with the cooled seats, I have been very happy with how they work. If you follow the F150 forums you will notice a mixed response around them working / and not working. Ford recognizes there could be a design / installation flaw and is working to correct it. I think the reason you are not hearing much about it is due to the work going on in the background to correct it. Best of luck to those having a problem with getting it fixed.
  11. I only hope you guy's are right. I would love to get mine before Christmas...I will keep you guys posted and load pics when it comes in...BTW I ordered, a Sport AWD in Electric Spice, 401A, Cold Weather Package, 21" Rims, Vista Roof, Inflatable rear seat belts, Adaptive Cruise, locking wheel nuts, and Cargo Accessory Package.
  12. It wont take you long. You will be a pro before you know it. I have not taken delivery of mine as I ordered a 2016 Sport. I currently have a loaded 2013 Fusion Titanium (triple platinum white with dark charcoal rims) and I'm expecting the edge to only have minor differences to that.
  13. Placed my order yesterday. Was told it will probably be January delivery. They will keep me updated. $46,600 - X Plan (not sure this is final price as they said no incentives or discounts had been announced) 10/12/15 2016 EDGE SPORT 2.7L V6 EcoBoost® Engine 99P/44C Sport Perforated Leather Leather-trimmed Seats with Sueded Inserts and Unique Sport Perforation Electric Spice H8 AWD K4A Equipment Group 401A Technology Package Voice-Activated Touch-Screen Navigation System with Integrated SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link®1 BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-traffic Alert Remote Start System Auto-dimming Driver’s Sideview Mirror Power Converter 110V Outlet Note: SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link® includes a 5-year prepaid subscription.1 SYNC® Services are not available in Alaska and Hawaii I Cooled Front Seats (Heated Front Seats are standard) I Heated Rear Seats I Enhanced Active Park Assist System with Parallel Parking, Park Out Assist, Reverse Perpendicular Parking, and Forward and Side Sensing Systems I Front 180-Degree Camera with Split View and Camera Washer I Lane-Keeping System I High-intensity Discharge (HID) Projector-Style Headlamps with Automatic High Beams I Rain-sensing Windshield Wipers Cold Weather Package Heated Steering Wheel 55C All-weather Floor Mats 21” Premium Tarnished Dark Low Gloss-painted Aluminum Wheels 642 Panoramic Vista Roof 43P Inflatable Rear Safety Belts, 2nd Row Outboard Seating Positions 52R Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support 63A Locking Wheel Nuts 65L Cargo Accessory Package (Custom Accessory, Pre-Installed) Retractable Cargo Area Cover Cargo Mat Rear Bumper Protector 60A
  14. I think the U.S. is lagging behind with the ordering process (other countries are looking to be open). My dealer is checking every day and is going to notify me when it opens...
  15. That sucks for you guy's in Canada. Hopefully there are no set backs for U.S... Not real sure why this is so difficult to implement. They already have numerous cars with it installed. My Fusion and my F150 both have adaptive cruise with lane departure and collision avoidance.
  16. "The 51D Driver's Package is also 'late availability' again." Is this due to the adaptive cruise control? If so, that will suck because they will do that same thing with option 63A on the Sport.
  17. I looked at some MKX's recently and the Allure Blue was a great color. It is more greyish blue than a true blue. I was hoping for a softer blue like Blue Candy on the Fiesta or Nitrous Blue on the Focus RS. I have a 2015 Ford F150 King Ranch and it is done in Bronze Fire with Caribou Accent. Very nice color scheme. I would have chosen that color but did not want 2 vehicles with the same color choice. You must see Bronze Fire in person to appreciate. I hope in the end I will be happy with Electric Spice.
  18. I just received a phone call from my dealer and they are adamant about the fact that the Order Bank is not open yet. They are saying there is no way anyone could have ordered a 16 yet nationwide. They said the dealership may take your information but that the actual order bank is not open to receive actual orders... Can anyone in the know confirm this...I doubt that my dealer is lying as they have been great in all past dealings and are more than willing to sell me a car... thanks, Maybe Ford has opened up ordering outside the USA...
  19. I just received a message from my dealer stating that they are not able to order yet. Do certain dealers get rights above others or are all able once the decision is made by Ford. thanks,
  20. sport, awd, loaded (every available option), electric spice (even though I am drawn to tri-pLatium white or would love a light colored blue). My only hope is they open up the interior color options so I am not stuck with black...will load price and location tomorrow after ordering...
  21. Thanks for the info akirby...What problems are you having with your 13 Fusion? I have a 13 Fusion Titanium and have had no issues to date. I have ~55k miles on it and all is well (at least for now)...I was the first person to get one in the Indianapolis area, it arrived in either Late October or early November of 2012. BTW I have done a few mods to my car with STEEDA upgrades and now the car is where it should have been from the start.
  22. akirby, Just curious is Job 1 the first mixture of vehicles being built and then Job 2 for those who order? I am going down this Monday to order, but I want to be realistic on how long it may take to receive my vehicle. thanks,
  23. Most of the guys on the F150 Ecoboost forum recommend Techron Concentrate Plus Fuel System Cleaner...Most will say it is a must...I have typically used seafoam, Lucas, or Royal Purple...I really think the key is to use good fuel from a reputable station. I only use Shell...
  24. Thanks for the info. I was recently told mid October by the dealer...They said last they heard it will include adaptive cruise and sync 3...but as everything changes can be made last minute...
