  1. I like that it looks like different colors in sun and shade. Love how the metallic stands out in the sun but is invisible in the shade. No problem finding it in a parking lot, stands out above the crowd. Here's mine, had it a little over a year now.
  2. Thanks Burrcold, I thought it may be an amplifier but it looked like a filter of sorts. Guess it's the heat sinks for the amp. Thanks ChefDuane for the laugh. There are times I wish it was an ejection module.
  3. Amazon has a coupon you can clip for 25% off 1 Chemical Guys products, large selection of stuff including bundles https://www.amazon.com/gp/goldbox/ref=gbps_ftr_s-3_bb19_dlt_CPN?gb_f_GB-SUPPLE=sortOrder:BY_SCORE,dealTypes:COUPON_DEAL&pf_rd_p=41fd713f-6bfe-4299-a021-d2b94872bb19&pf_rd_s=slot-3&pf_rd_t=701&pf_rd_i=gb_main&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=MS56SXV527QDZ18ESH89&nocache=1487444088737
  4. I had the same problem found the weatherstripping was loose on the back door. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/21863-2016-edge-rear-door-weather-stripping-issues/
  5. I have the same problem though not a chronic problem like yours. I had gotten on the interstate and noticed the wind noise inside the vehicle was loud. I got off at an exit to check it out and found the weatherstrip on the rear passenger door was partly off its track. Snapped it back on and back to the quiet ride I paid for. I haven't done it yet but I planned on putting a small amount of clear silicone caulking in the V and snapping it back on. The drivers side has come off also, I very seldom use the back doors, may explain why I haven't had the problems you've had. Not sure what Ford intended to hold this on, seems like the strip is supposed to have a couple of nibs inside the V that snap into a detent on the door. I've noticed in reviews that body integrity for the Edge takes a hit, too bad little petty things like this are probably the cause. Also seen complaints about the rear tail lights feeling flimsy because the whole assembly is easily moved around by hand.
  6. I've had good luck with Menzerna Jescar powerlock plus polymer sealant. http://www.detailedimage.com/Ask-a-Pro/menzerna-power-lock-sealant-review-with-pictures/ https://www.amazon.com/Jescar-Power-Lock-Polymer-Sealant/dp/B00P87W0IU
  7. Just for the record, I like the looks of the 21" wheels better than the 18's. But when I'm driving I can't see the wheels but I can feel the ride!
  8. I have a 2016 Titanium with factory 18" polished aluminum wheels with Pirelli Scorpion Verde tires. Test drove quite a few Edges with the larger wheels, the 18's definitely gave a smoother, quieter ride in my opinion. 35 PSI
  9. Stoners and as seen on tv windshield reach and clean tool
  10. So I guess without fuel and the wheels not connected the engine dies without fuel? Maybe an auto restart as in hybrids?
  11. Thanks for the information, I feel smarter today! So would shifting into neutral going downhill and gaining speed further increase gas mileage or would that cause damage to the car? I actually get a little better mileage in my 2008 3.5L Duratec V6 Sabel going back and forth to work through town than I do in the 2.0 Eco Edge.
  12. Thanks everyone for clearing this up. I was concerned that something may have been going on with my Edge. Not sure I agree with the theory, why can't the gas be cut off and still free wheel and pick up speed when going downhill? In my Sable I can pick up 10 mph and coast well into the ensuing uphill before having to touch the accelerator to maintain the speed limit.
  13. actually I'm driving in town. coming out of a roundabout I have a down hill, doing about 30 mph starting out, no cruise, no braking, in my Sable I coast to 45 before starting the uphill, in the Edge, it keeps my speed around 35 mph. I can feel the engine braking kick in after a few mph increase while coasting. Wonder why it does that, thought about shifting into neutral but I've heard that's not a good thing to do. Can't be helping gas mileage.
  14. I've notice that when coasting downhill seems like my 2016 edge with the 2.0 ecoboost downshifts to slow the vehicle. In my 2008 Sable I can coast freely downhills and pick up speed. I drive the same route in both vehicles back & forth to work with some moderate hills. I hadn't noticed the drag going downhill in the Edge until just recently. Is this normal?
  15. Thanks for the info Bud_d and enigma-2. I had never heard of either but the Nextzett products are interesting. Confused on silicone. Seems like some products tout that they are silicone free, I've read that silicone is a great water repellent but has a detrimental effect over time on seals when exposed to the sun. Anyone know if it is good or bad? Where I work we use silicone grease on rubber encapsulated electrical connectors rated for direct burial. It repels and prevents water from getting to the electrical connection. But it is inside the part and gets buried so it is never exposed to UV rays.
  16. noticed on my 2008 sabel that the rubber seals around the door are dried out and starting to deteriorate. After seeing all the weatherstripping on my 2016 Edge i sure don't want that to happen. Any recommendations for preserving them? I like the Aerospace 303 products so I picked up some of their seal protector. It has helped soften up the seals on the 8 year old Sabel. Comes with its own applicator much like a bottle of shoe polish. The seals on the Edge are many and massive. Really didn't notice until I started applying the 303 protector. Use it every 3 months, here in the Deep South it's hot and lots of sun, we'll see how it works over time. I think all the heavy duty seals help contribute to the quietness of the ride, want to make them last. Been using the 303 aerospace protectant on all the black trim, a little goes a long way. Thought it was a little pricey when I bought it but it doesn't take much. I use a 3" fine red polishing pad, fold it in half and just spray a little on the point of the fold. One spray can do the entire back bumper or the panels below the doors. Dirt sprays right off with a spray of water and it gives it a nice flat matte black appearance. Used it on the black plastic cowling below the windshield on the Sabel, it was faded with that whitish gray appearance, a few coats over a period of a few weeks brought it back to life. I drive that car to work everyday, it has sat in full sun it's entire life except here at the house.
  17. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks the front wipers are wonky. What I really like is the rain sensing feature, never had that on a car before. Thought it was just a gimmick, but it is very useful and convenient. I too have looked in my rear view mirror to see my rear wiper wiping a dry window on a sunny day.
  18. looks like a device the dealers use to keep track of keys when I did test drives i remember something like that being attached to the fob dealer should have removed it
  19. Thought I'd update this topic. Joy replied via PM that there definitely wasn't an update. Probably a check, asked I had been to the dealer recently which I hadn't. Just odd that my settings had been changed. With news stories of cars with the technology being hijacked and hackers taking control of vehicles the incident became a concern.
  20. My 2016 Titanium came with the 18" polished aluminum wheels, no upcharge. I've seen others on the lot like this also. Seems like if Ford rolls it off the assembly line with 18's there's no upcharge but if you order it that way they charge $895. ??? I test drove with 20's and 19's, in my opinion the 18's gave a smoother, quieter ride which is what I was looking for. Plus you'll save $$$ when time to buy tires. I also like the appearance of the 18 polished aluminum over the 19" painted nickel wheels.
  21. That's what the dealer told me when I purchased my 2016 Titanium
