  1. So did you ever think it might be your device? Both of you have Samsung Android devices. OS version? After the Sync update to 2.2 did you delete Sync from your BT connections, and the phone from the car, then repair? With it hard wired and Android Auto enabled does it act any different?
  2. No I was saying that the comment was dead on. You have to click the show notifications under the Sync Bluetooth Connection.
  3. I did the update on our 2017 Expedition that had 2.0, and the update took it to 2.2 with no issues. The Ex already had a certified hub, so the update to 2.2 gave me CarPlay.
  4. Sorry, but that is BS. Ford produces and designs the system, but HERE Provides the Map data. What he is talking about has nothing to do with the data, since it obviously knows the name, but how the Ford(Or whoever it was contracted to) designed Nav OS is choosing to display it. HERE provides it for many other manufactures and they don't have the issue the OP is talking about.
  5. JMR01 can help you get back if you need to, but you won't.
  6. There are other advantages to the update. Faster/smoother voice prompts is just one. You can Enable/disable carplay per connected devices. When I connect my phone Carplay is enabled, but it is disabled for my wife's. She hasn't had a chance to play with it, so she does while mine is attached and will eventually enable it for hers...
  7. So then download the files that have been offered here and do the update. Stop waiting...
  8. So you got the update via Wifi? Not by copying the file down and putting it on a flash drive? Did it go to version 2.2? I have had zero issues with disconnects. Don't use Spotify, but Pandora worked good via Sync Apps, and now via Carplay.
  9. I did that also, allowed me to run my USB Cable out the back also.
  10. Sorry for making an assumption, but the one you linked to was a vent mount. Your setup looks good.
  11. See my pictures above. You just need to remove the little side trim piece.
  12. Installed my updated USB hub today, so I took the opportunity and ran the cable. That little trim piece came off real easy, no issues.
  13. Love it! Solid and in a great position. Haven't had a vehicle in 15 years that I haven't put one in. Anything that mounts the phone to your vent or CD slot is a terrible idea, sorry. Why would you want to block the air for those hotter months, and why would you want to risk damaging your vent. Go with the ProClip, you will not regret it!
  14. I have ProClip mount in my Edge for my phone. I would love to keep my phone connected to the USB hub without leaving the compartment door open. Anybody figured out a way to run a cord behind/out the back?
  15. Anybody sell a Lowering spring set for the sports? No luck finding any in a quick search.
  16. Is this only on the Note 5, or Android? I have no issue listening to my voicemails via Sync on my iPhone 7 running 10.2 with Sync 3 2.2...
  17. I'll give it a try tomorrow. Just for curiosity, what would be the use case?
  18. Persistence does pay off! 1 is probably not the cause, because I have that setting set and the GT350 Boot screen. 2 could be possible, but honestly I would lean to 3. Glad you got it!
  19. I noticed that and thought I might have missed it before, but good call!
  20. Yours is a different issue than the others based on your symptoms. A master reset might still help, but others have noticed issues with Flash drives when getting errors like yours. I highly suggest trying a different flash drive and port.
  21. Perfectly understand the clarity, Enterprise Systems Admin here, so yes when I say reboot, I mean reboot/restart, NOT reset. I have updated 5 various fords with the USB drive I have now, all Sync 3 with NAV, and 2 have done it, including my Edge, but in both cases, powering off and back on did the trick, and no issues since then. small sampling, but it works.
  22. Haven't heard of that one yet. Try a different USB drive. Maybe your drive is going bad? Also try the other USB port than the one you originally used.
