I had the same deal...wanted to download it just cause, but since I am up to date, there does not appear to be a download. FYI, the OS part is the key part...but the difference is a few letters in the OS version. It would be like 10.0 and 10.01. So very minor. They might have just made the change just to designate between pre and full release, and not actually have any functional change. Hence why the owners site sees us as current. You could do a master reset on your Sync, and make sure you are up to date on your phone. Have any 3rd party power managers or Bluetooth apps running? How old is your phone? Brand and model? What he said. I think he means Bluetooth. Dealing with users like I do on a daily basis, you learn to translate...that would be my translation.

Same install you did is basically what you can download from Ford Site. You are better off for it! If I had waited, I would not have been able to enjoy Carplay for the Past 4 Months.

Side bar, which one did you go with as far as hitch? Was it the one that requires you to remove the plastics underneath and not put it back? You do it your self or have a shop do it?

We get it...you are partially a bit of a broken record. Every tune thread even when it is specific about the tune versions...you mention this. Trust me, they get it. Even LMS has it in their documentation.

So, let me see if I can clarify. Pretty sure the 3 Octane levels they tune for are: 87, 89, and 93. The true Aggressive tune is only available in 93 as far as I understand. Towing and Performance are available for all 3. Towing is a little more power, but they certify it to maximum towing which is 2000 on the Sport. Sport mode is more aggressive on the Performance tune than Stock, and Aggressive is just what it says...Aggressive. I am running 93 Aggressive, with the shift softened up a bit. After you try there out of box tune, you can have them tweak it. Hope that helps...

That is correct. For Android Auto to work you need the following: Sync 3 at 2.0 or above. That is it. For Apple CarPlay to work you need the following: Sync 3 at 2.0 or above, and a supported hub. All 2017's come with a supported hub. 2016's you need to swap the hub out for Part # HC3Z-19A387-B

I am perplexed by those people that come on here, and complain about not having the update. I get it that Ford should have released it by now...but you are one of the lucky ones. You found this thread. You can download the install and do it your self. It is not hard, and there are many of us on here that can help you through it, myself included. JUST DO IT! Enjoy it and drive on.

Filter? Haha! I laugh at that. I bench tested the AFE Dry vs OEM for my TDI Passat for flow and filtration at a friends lab(QC's HVAC Filters). Filtration was the same(Within Margin of Error), and flow was about 15% better. Combine that with it is the same cost as 3 filters, so it is paid for in 30K, and all you have to do is clean it every 20K or so.

So those errors are all related to communications. Programmer couldn't talk to ECM and TCM after it started the process. So, a few things: 1) Everything off? 2) Don't open or close doors. 3) Battery low? 4) Make sure connection is secure to the OBDII connector. Use some force.

It happens. Most that are going to do it, already have. Most questions have been answered, so if people read it, they get what they need.

Latest version of Sync 3 available currently is 2.2. There is a whole thread in this area dedicated to that subject and the upgrade.

You can also go to CarPlay in Settings and turn it off for your device. I have it active for my phone, and off for my wife's.
