  1. I was very happy. Next time out Im gonna concentrate more on the edge than the car. Seems Im gear a bit tall on the big end so I may put my stock RS rims and tires on. That should really help out my times. I wasnt getting the shift perfect either. I need to click the paddle at 4800 to get it to shift at 5200. Thats were power drops off sharply.
  2. Ok update time. So I was only able to get a 14:802 with the edge tuned. Its a 2.0 awd with factory tires. I did mess up a bit and was busy with my RS and sorting that out so I had lots of wheels spin when I boosted to hard that is not and issue if I would have taken my time and lowered some air pressure out. So I launch a bit softer and that was the times I was able to get. With a bit of prep time on the car and a bit better shift point work I think I can get 14:5 as I was not having a good day.
  3. Ok guys as the title says has anyone got an idea what these will run stock vs tuned? Im heading to the track Friday and hoping for low 14 sec. that would make me happy. Mine is awd so I can get off the line fast enough and I am tuned.
  4. i wouldnt put to much stock in oil data as far as stocks and bases. If we have learned anything it should be that just because the data sheet says it should be good doesnt mean it will. Its like all the things that are engineered to be unbreakable that break. Somewhere in that mess the real world meets theory and sometimes results are not what we think. I e always said take a long look into what your needs are and find a product or oil that will accomplish that. Usually one product will not cover everything the same.
  5. What tire pressure are you running on those ps4s you should not be getting wheel spin after take off with those. Ive got much more power than the edge on my rs and I run those and dont get any wheel spin after launch. It could be the awd system is just better but I feel like you have something else going on if you are getting it going into 3rd.
  6. That is a good deal. Plenty of good oils. I think if you pick a good one and change it on time with a good filter you are gonna be just fine. Only issues Ive ever seen on ecoboosts because of oil is guys running either cheap oil and going past the service light by a bit.
  7. Those are very good numbers. Just dropped my RS back off at Livernois for more boost and new injectors. Lol hoping its done for track day.
  8. My 2.0 was the same go but 117 more trq. What engine in the continental thats very good hp numbers if its the 3.0 my 3.5 was 302 stock on 93.
  9. For whats it worth Ive run amsoil in all my families fleet stuiff to the 15,000 intervals all made it to 300,000 before sold. With the ecoboosts I have 3 with over 170,000 that have run amsoil changed at oil monitor system about 7,000 miles. I contacted amsoil about the fuel dilution issues. They are still backing it to 15,000 so if changed at the monitor you still have a nice buffer. Also have one 2.0 escape changed every 15,000 and its at 162,000 and no issues. Im most proud of my 3.5 500whp 3.5 with meth injection run a 12:5 1/4 and its my work truck 173,000 and change it at oil monitor sugg. Lots of good oils but this should give many piece of mind. Only one I change early is my 500 plus a whp rs thats running e85 and meth. That gets it very often.
  10. Thats pretty impressive. And yes I should t say they have no hp to gain on 87 but it sometimes never shows. Like the 87 tow tune. They do adjust the mapping a bit but most of it comes from top in and throttle position. So it does feels better. Im not sure I gained anything for hp with my 87 tow but shift points and tip in. They did not reccomend running it on 87 because even the Manuel reccomend 93 when towing. I have run the 87 tow tune but still ran 87. I did it for safety when I thought the gas I was getting would not be up to par
  11. Not sure what year hers is I but I think it is a 13. I got mine at the end of December so its getting miles quick.
  12. My mom has 162,000 on hers trouble free. I currently have 32,000 on my 2.0 most of them being tuned.
  13. So they are correct. The reason they give 93 is thats the most common fuel for most east of the Rockies. So it makes sense to post that over say 91 or guys like me would be asking what we could gain with 93. You can deduce that your numbers will be slightly less. Second they are 100 percent correct with the 87 oct. what allows them to run 87 is the advanced knock sensors that pull timing and boost when the sense knock. The fact that the ecoboost will make more power on 93 in stock trim tells us that when running 87 they are constantly pulling timing and boost while running 87. So you have no more power to acces with 87 tune or no tune. Any tuner that will give you an 87 performance should be avoided as they are moving some safety parameters to let your vehical make more power without pulling power. It will work for a while but eventually the knock that is not being handled by pulling timing and boost will break the piston. Its also very common practice of some companies trying to squeeze to much out of a 93 tune. Check out ssi tuning, they ya e all the fastest stuff on 93. Heck the 93 tune puts faster times than my full bolt on meth injection. But they also leave a trial of oil and engines behind them. Its just a matter of time before they pop.

Yes they are a large company with many people and projects. That being said I would not be to stuck on that pump either. The 2.0 guys have been waiting on a pump for a very long time. Part of the issue is how many diffrent things need to work out. The SHO ruins the same motor as the f-150 3.5 but not the same pump. I was asked to do the long term testing on the pump with my truck as I drive 60,000 a year with it and work it very hard. While trying to make it fit the truck figment issues arose. So it may not be just one pump maybe several. The. It will come down to number of customers they could sell to. The truck has the largest market share but most looking for power would opt for the 3.5 so it would be a hard sell in that application. But I would imagine with the edge st coming out you will see some more movement that will cross over.

Well Ill tell you many told me they had no tuning for the 2.0 edge just this year and Ive been running it. So you ah e hope. I know for a fact they are indeed working or were working on it. Also meth is best used as a daily. I have it on all my ecoboost and is best as the daily. Here is why. First you cant always find e85 so like my rs I ya e it set up as flex fuel. My other ecoboost are my 3.5 truck and 2.0 edge both meth is the best fit as I cant be looking for e85 all the time. Meth allows me to run pump gas all day everyday but have performance at levels higher than e85 when Im in the boost hard. My truck for example has meth and its my work truck I daily drive all over the country for work. Just run 93 all the time. I fill the meth tank before I leave and when I reach the set boost level it sprays meth and is mapped for it. So I ha e all the power on tap but dont need any specific fuel. No looking for e85 just fill with meth. I can usually make a long trip say 3,000 miles on a single tank of meth and mines only 1 gallon a 2.5 tank would be a lot of meth to burn. Just my opinion and obeservation having both system currently meth is by far the easiest and my fav

The sho was in fact the first to get a hpfp. My truck was the one Livernois used to fit the sho one to a truck but it needed some work. You will also need larger injectors. Im running the hpfp and injectors on my rs for e85. Livernois I believe has one in the works if I remember correctly as they are working on one for the 2.0 and 2.7. The best thing you can do is to contact lms and let them know you have interest. Thats what drive them. Problem is it take a lot to produce and the cost is a lot. $1800 for the pump and then more for injectors. Unless you are running some crazy setup with a full built long block why not fuel the overhead with meth injection. Give you the octane and also give you cooler iats
  17. So as the title states anyone interested? So Im coming from the RS world and we to have reverse twin scroll with the headifold just like the 16-18 edge 2.0. In fact the gaskets match up perfect for the edge and the stock turbo I took off my RS. So its a direct bolt up turbo capable of making a reliable 389awd hp and 440 trq. These are the numbers I had with my RS and meth injection. So the big thing in the RS world is to build your new RS motor from a 2.0 block as its solid and not open deck. Its the cheap way to handle more power. The 2.0 block is very capable of handling 500 plus hp. So with a simple turbo swap some oil lines and some tuning you should easily be able to have a very sneakily fast car. My wife was not keen on the idea but I think someone should.
  18. Forgot to add that I also dont have a station near me but I get gas at any 1/4 hash mark on my gauge so it does take some planning ahead but man is the added power worth it. My wife wont let me tune it back to even the 93 tune.
  19. I have been on e30 in my edge for 26,000 miles now and only switched back to the stock tune once. The sensor and e gauge the RS guys run is not needed. I have my RS running full flex fuel with the addition of injectors and hpfp. So the stock fuel system can not keep up with the flow rate needed for true flex fuel so we are limited to e30. That means the e30 tune I have also doesnt need a gauge to know the content of e because its still a flex fuel car on anything under the limit of the fuel system. Take a look at Livernois vehicals that run this setup a lot no issues. Go to the 2.0l edge thread and I have written a review on my e30 tune from them. I have ran my for two hours at over 100mph. So on mine I based my fill ratio on 5 gallons of e85 so every 1/4 tank is 1.25 gallons e85. So easy my wife has been doing it since June by herself no issues. The guys running the gauge are the same guys that wanna data log every time they go out if you tuned right from the get go your ecu will make any of the little adjustments needed. The other reason would to be to make sure you are at your max e content without loosing rail pressure for going with to much e. Now if running a 2.7 edge which I assume you are. You could run the same setup I have on my rs. Livernois hpfp and a set of injectors. Cost will be around 3g but will leave you with full flex fuel capabilities. Ive been running straight e85 since I had my big turbo and long block done. That setup is expensive but really works well.
  20. So just an update on the e30 tune. Ive now been running the e30 tune only for about 16,000 miles. I pushed it into the triple digits for over an hour and was also running over 85 mph across the plains for almost a full day. Only had to flash back to stock once when I got stuck with only 91 octane. Once back towards home Ive been only e30. I had them build it off 5gallons then top off the tank with 93 so its not a true e30. But it makes it super easy to mix without being empty. So easy my wife has been doing it for the last two months on her own. She just fills it when its at Any of the 1/4 hashes so it can be divided easy. 1/4 tank left 3.75 gallons e85 then top off. Its been very good and really make the car fu. To drive.
  21. To bad livernois did not have one for the 2.0. They did a hpfp on my rs and now Im flex fuel. I would love to have that on my edge
  22. You may be right the module is pretty rare but it does happen more than the hpfp failing. In these instances I always start with what is the cheapest to try and fix. So I think that is the way to go. Bad fuel wont give you low rail pressure it will give you bad performance but because the car would be pulling timing and boost you would have rail pressure.
  23. More than likely its the hpfp. Also any chance he added e85 on accident? If so it cant pump enough e to get the power so you loose fuel rail pressure and this power.
  24. My brother in law has the e30 tune for his 2.7 f-150. Been running it for about a year now. Its a big improvement he takes it to the dunes and makes about 60 passes a day. Ive been running mine in my 2.0 for the last few months and its been great .
