  1. Vehicle is still experiencing it's abnormal bucking/surging. Time to schedule yet another service appointment.
  2. Issue still appears to exist even after latest TSB. It's either something other than the software or Ford doesn't know and is guessing at a fix. Or maybe the transmission is a total mess and do not want to do recalls to replace. Discovered another problem that could be related. With the engine running and shifter in neutral, I can't set the engine at 1500 rpm. It's either 1000 or 3000. Seems the accelerator is too sensitive. Anyone know if there is a setting in the software to adjust accelerator sensitivity?
  3. Johnny, Had the TSB performed the end of March. PCM was also reset. Honestly at this point I can't say if it did anything. I'm waiting a few more miles for the PCM to do it's adaptive learning before I make a judgement. I still see the tach bounce after shifting. Has done that since new. Ford can't blame mechanical linkage since the tach is all digital. Anyone else see this? Wasn't the best service experience. Had an appointment for 8am, which didn't mean anything. Vehicle was ready six hours later. I sat at the dealership most of the time. Kept getting excuses for the delays. Maybe they were trying to tell me to go somewhere else for service.
  4. I understand. I've talked to the dealership. After convincing someone to call Ford, it has been confirmed the TSB is for my vehicle. Not really sure what the problem was but initially the system showed nothing for this TSB. Will get an appointment scheduled. Thank you for posting the information.
  5. Breez, Do you have a link to where you found this TSB? My dealership says there is no record of this TSB in Ford's system and it is not currently assigned to my VIN.
  6. Interesting your service department even acknowledged the problem. I've mentioned the torque converter in the past but get no response from the tech working the vehicle. My experience is "it's normal operation". I'm dreading it but plan to schedule yet another service visit. This will be visit five or six. So many I forget. Please post any updates.
  7. I've been trying to have this issue fixed since the first of 2019. Now almost two years. Lost count of the times I've had the vehicle in for this issue and I know many others have too. So Ford can't say they are not aware of the problem. And if it is a software problem, it shouldn't take two years to correct it, if your plan is to fix it. Does not appear that Ford cares, at all

  9. Sounds promising. That TSB number is important since I'm expecting a call from the service department forman this week. Want to talk to him about it. As expected the latest adaptive learning reset did nothing for my bucking/surging.

  11. Could you put that in a letter and mail to all of Ford's management including Powertrain? Is your high gear suspicion another Ford attempt at meeting mpg requirements just like the engine turning off while vehicle is stopped?
  12. If you are correct, what does setting adaptive cruise control to normal do if you're not even using cruise control? I'm driving at 15-20 mph when I feel and see it. Tach is bouncing.
  13. Akirby, I don't doubt what you're saying but that's what I've been told by two different dealer service departments. I just had my Edge Titamiun in again to look at the bucking issue. According to Ford, they were required to reset the PCM before looking at anything else. When I picked up the vehicle the service advisor told me to "give it 1000 - 1500 miles for the car to learn my driving habits". Do you have any documents from Ford you can post that states that? Would like to take it along and give it the the service advisor on my next visit.
  14. Have a question for those knowledgeable in Ford vehicle technical service. Here is a cut and past from Edge 8F35 TSB 19-2331. NOTE: Advise the customer that this vehicle is equipped with an adaptive transmission shift strategy which allows the vehicle's computer to learn the transmission's unique parameters and improve shift quality. When the adaptive strategy is reset, the computer will begin a relearning process. This relearning process may result in firmer than normal upshifts and downshifts for several days. How long does it take for the transmission to learn your driving habits after a PCM reset? If I'm reading the TSB correctly, it says several days. Why would my dealer tell me it will take 1000 - 1500 miles vs several days?
  15. Ok, so your Edge is the ST with 8F57 trans. Mine has the 8F35. Any chance to see the service ticket? Might be useful data to show on next service visit.
  16. I tested with a/c off on first drive yesterday am. Had no affect. I suspected that since the vehicle still bucks during the winter months when a/c is not used. Good though to rule out that system.
  17. 11,000 on my 2019 Titanium. Slow speed buck/surge since mile 1. Year and a half later and six trips to three different dealers and still no fix. I can't get anyone to look past the "there are no codes" and "it's normal operation".
  18. My Edge Titanium is back from service. All that was done was reset the adaptive learning on the transmission. I'm need to drive the vehicle for 1000 -1500 miles for it to learn my driving habits. That is supposed to fix the problem. ? That same reset was done 18 monts ago and did not fix the problem. Buck/surge is still felt even after the reset. PM me if you would like another suggestion.

  20. Mine is back at the dealership for another (number five I believe) try at fixing this bucking/surging issue. Service manager did a road test and verified the buck/surge did infact exist. After four days I was told resetting transmission adaptive learning appears to have corrected this problem. Said they wanted to wait till the next morning to do another road test. I then told the service advisor that was tried over a year ago with no success. One reason why it's back in for the same issue. Waiting for Monday to see what will happen next. Over the past month I have been talking to an individual at Ford Executive. They recommended I take the vehicle back for another service visit. They have also been talking to the dealership service manager but I do not know any details of their conversation.
  21. Matthew, can you post the repair specifics? Were exactly was the leak? What was done to fix the leak? Would like to provide the info to service department at my next visit. Would be helpful if they know where to look and how to correct. Thanks.
  22. Looking for updates. Has anyone been able to get this issue fixed on their vehicle? I just made another call to Customer Care and received yet another CAS number.

  24. Yep, only states the 8F57 transmission. I have a 2019 Titanium. Also do not see any mention of slow speed lurching in the TSB. I had TSB 19-2331 performed by the regional field service engineer. Did absolutely nothing for the slow speed buck/surge. I doubt she even drove the vehicle after the update. I have also had the PCM reprogrammed in the past and it did nothing to correct the problem. So, the ST is getting attention but doesn't appear other Edges are. Time to file another complaint with Customer Care.
