Did another master reset and same thing. Gonna try updating again after a master reset. Sorry for the short video but it's the only way I could attach it. 20201012_071037.mp4

Does anyone know what fuse to pull on a 2019 to reset the Sync? I upgraded to the 3.4 version on my 4.2" and it has a weird glitch where sometimes I start the car and it is stuck on the radio screen. The volume controls don't work. I can press anything else (as if the radio was on). I have to turn the radio on and then off to get to the clock screen. Also after turning off the radio, the screen will go to the clock and glitch the radio screen briefly. As in glitch, I mean it will flash the radio screen a split second after the clock screen comes on. I've tried a master reset, pulling fuse 32, and a hard reboot (power and seek up) with no change. I think I pulled the wrong fuse. The radio presets stay there, which indicates that it hasn't been truly reset. After a hard reboot, the radio works fine until the car is turned off and it goes right back to being "glitchy".

Perfect answer. That clarifies so much!!! Never knew there was a Sync 3 lite.

That's what I'm using and that's why I'm asking here. Here's a screenshot. That's why Im asking if it is designed to work with the 4.2" screen? My 4.2" screen says it has SYNC3 3.3.### right now.
-
So it still would use the Sync3 3.4 update? right now it says I have the SYNC3 3.3.#### firmware.
-
I have the base 4" version. When I put in my VIN on Ford's site, it says sync 3.4 update is available. Not sure if there's a separate update or if the 3.4 file works with mine too? Mine says it currently has the sync 3.3 on it. Odd...

I don't even have adaptive cruise.

I've noticed that sometimes I'll make a normal turn left or right from a stop sign for example.... The traction control light sometimes flashes? Also if I give it a little more gas on a turn, the steering wheel will vibrate as if awd is kicking in mixed with the vibration from lane departure warning (disabled). It's really weird and my dealer has no idea what it is. I'm meticulous with my vehicles so it's not tire pressure, fluids look good, and it's been doing this since it came off the dealer lot.

Mine does the same whenever the AC is on. Once the engine is warmed up, it's fine.

Another update. Was tooling around a little. Some modified Infiniti G35 (lowered, exhaust, intake, and wheels from what I can see) challenged me and I kept right on his bumper all the way up to 80 from a dig. Granted he was crawling away, but I'm definitely VERY pleased with the performance of my Edge. He gave me a surprised thumbs up when we parted ways.

2019 Edge "rocking" while AC on
IcyFridge replied to IcyFridge's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
I despise the start/stop. I had it disabled via Forscan the first week, and now with the LMS tune it's disabled as well. -
So I got some performance numbers for 0-60 since it cooled down here in NY. Got my Ultragauge EM 1.4 speed zeroed in with my OEM speedometer/GPS. It's dead even at 60mph. Ran 3 runs 0-60. All of them with traction control off and a 3k RPM launch. I got a 6.57, 6.6, and a 6.49. Pretty decent for a LMS tune, as I was getting 7.2 stock. When the transmission shifts, it does take a split second so it might have thrown my numbers off. I plan to try again sometime later with traction control on and no launch. It felt quicker to me the other day with no launch, so worth trying. I have noticed that leaving it out of sport mode does allow for more shifts, which keeps it in the 3k RPM range which is where most of the torque is. To me, sport mode is good for mountain runs but not a dash as it holds RPMs too high out of the torque peak. Temp outside - 61 deg F Oil temp - 179 deg F Altitude 700 ft Intake temp - 75 deg F Road a slight incline (VERY slight) Full tank of 93 Sunoco Baby seats and stroller in the back Magnaflow custom catback, Pro Dry S filter, and LMS tune are the only mods. Highest PSI I've seen so far is a spike to 21PSI. I'm pleased with the results, as I got a 6.2 best on the same spot with my tuned Focus ST (and lots of wheel spin). All in all, the LMS does make the porky Edge move quickly (not OMG fast mind you). Don't get me wrong... a stock Focus ST with decent tires and a competent driver will still give my Edge a run for its money, but it's nice to know that my Daddy-Mobile has spunk. I do plan on getting a Green Filter to replace the Pro Dry S for a little more airflow, as I ran it in my Focus ST and was pleased with it. I don't re-oil and just replace filters every 2 years (30k miles).

Aftermarket tachometer&boost gauge for ST

I ordered an Ultragauge for this reason. -
Using nonethenol gas
IcyFridge replied to 2017 SLE FORD EDGE's topic in Ford Edge & MKX Member Builds
I get that. I know about E30 tunes as well. I'm just wondering power wise... 93 10% or 93 0%. Which is better (already tuned)? Edit: NVM I overlooked the answer above. -
Using nonethenol gas
IcyFridge replied to 2017 SLE FORD EDGE's topic in Ford Edge & MKX Member Builds
I know that for the most part, but I always wonder if it's worth it. I didn't do this on the old Focus ST because at the time there was only 91 ethanol free available. Now there's 93 ethanol free at some local Fastrac stations. I was always under the assumption that tunes benefited from some ethanol. -
For sure. You got lucky in getting a 2.7 whereas I'm sticking with the 2.0. Twin babies take the funds away! At least I'm tuned.

Using nonethenol gas

I've always wondered if I could run ethanol free gas in my tuned Edge. -
Well. Good to see you on here too Deuce! Sold my FoST for my Edge. It's a fine vehicle for sure. Why am I not surprised you've dove right into the mods?!

Any update on this? These are the choices I have....Which one will monitor the Charge Air Temp most accurately? Similar to what Focus ST users monitor using their accessports.
-
I'd really like to add my own ambient lighting strips under the dash on my 2019. I don't want to spend a fortune on the Ford ambient light kit where I can do it for much cheaper. The question I have is how can I wire the lights to come on whenever my headlights are on? EG: I use the auto setting for my headlights, so whenever the headlights come on full brightness, the LED strips light up.
-
What piece was that in the middle and how did you remove it?
-
Thought I mentioned that. I have the 2.0. I have the choice between IAT or CAT.

I have an OBD gauge coming in, so I can monitor boost levels and other stuff. I want to include charge air temps in the readout. However, there are multiple choices to pick from. Which one would give me the most accurate charge temp of air coming directly in from the intercooler? On my Focus ST accessport, I could just pick "Charge Air Temp" and be done with it, but this one seems more complicated? The choices I have are; Charge Air Temp cylinder group 1, sensor 1 Charge Air Temp cylinder group 1, sensor 2 Charge Air Temp cylinder group 2, sensor 1 Charge Air Temp cylinder group 2, sensor 2 The guage is a Lufi XF Revolution.
