  1. hey thanks for the idea. i've been slamming my hood down for years now. my latch was also set to lowest point. the 2 screws were easy to reach. after moving the latch up about 1/4" .. now all i need is a gentle touch.
  2. i tried again. unlocked the car with the fob. pressed it twice to unlock all doors and went inside. then walked out later with no fob .. still unlocked. then walked out with fob in top pocket. it did not lock this time. maybe operator is at fault here? interesting info on the mislock feature. will report anything else. appreciate feedback.
  3. so i leave my cars unlocked quite a bit .. for personal reasons. i left my 2016 edge unlocked as usual. i walked up to it with the fob in my pocket .. and sure enough .. it proceeded to lock all the doors. that seem almost absurd to me. what gives?
  4. we own a 2011 ford edge SEL with backup camera that looks to be non standard. I was getting ready to replace it and noticed that my camera does not look like the one that is recommended for my vehicle. After taking a closer look .. I think it is standard .. I was looking at it from the wrong angle.
  5. yes .. I wonder how many camera problems are related to the connector as well. what with dirty conditions to high humidity and extreme temperatures. but checking the connector is almost the same as replacing the camera. mine has become intermittent so will do the checks you mentioned above.
  6. so we have 100K miles on our Edge with V6 and are planning on replacing the spark plugs as scheduled maintenance. it seems logical to go ahead and replace the ignition coils at the same time. I have heard to wait until they throw a code but we all know that happens at a bad time. What say the Edge owners out there? And which coil packs are you using as reliable replacements? Thanks ?
