  1. Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on the find. It sounds like you found a winner there.
  2. Have you considered a weight distributing hitch? This could help with the leveling, and then use the airbags for fine tuning. Nice job on the trailer by the way. When you get a chance, could you post some pics of the innards. Gotta see what you did inside.
  3. I certainly wouldn't make a habit of doing it. The manual mentions that it is not good for it. But if you're stuck somewhere and need to, well, ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
  4. Sometimes that's the easiest and best option. Glad you got if fixed.
  5. Man, I hope so. I think you just about serviced/fixed/replaced everything under the everything! It sounds like you should easily get another 132K out of it. Or more. Nice.
  6. I have had a few windshields replaced by Safelite and never had any issues. I had a piece of rubber pull up on a car I didn't even have any windshield stuff done (just old and not properly installed by a previous job). They pulled the car into the garage, and fixed it for nothing. So good stuff from my experiences anyway.
  7. If it was replaced and working, what are you asking about? Is there something still going on? Otherwise if the dealer fix has resolved the original problem, not sure why the questions. By the way, welcome to the forum.
  8. What is this "AM" radio thing that you speak of? Oh wait. I seem to remember hearing of this old static ridden radio signal that always fades in and out. Okay, sorry. I don't think I can help with this, as I really thought they had pretty much taken care of the interference from engine noise. I pretty much listen to satellite radio or streaming anymore, so I'm not familiar with the AM. I'm not sure I have even tried to listen to it in this car yet. But I am interested in seeing what the issue turns up being.
  9. Welcome to the forum Nitro. I just wanted to let you know, you are responding to a thread that is 8 years old. You have to look to see when these things are posted. It's okay, but just wanted to let you know.
  10. I have had that happen after getting brand new tires, and especially Michelin. After a few days/miles driving, the eventually went away. It just seems like a new tire "break in" or something. See if it doesn't go away for her after a few days.
  11. First, welcome to the forums. Second, it would help if you gave the specifics of your car. Did this just start happening? Did you do anything prior to it that may have caused it? It sounds like the blend doors. I had issues like that on my old F-250, and it was an issue on them. And finally, welcome to the forums.
  12. Well, I've had this car for about a month and a half now. Overall, I am happy with it. But one thing I have come to really not like is, the cupholders. Especially the rear cupholders. They are shallow and don't seem to hold anything in them. We use them for "refills" for our water up front, especially on longer trips. The cupholders won't even hold a standard crappy plastic water bottle, much less a cup from a fast food restaurant. So, I am looking for solutions. I've got a couple of "inserts" saved to my cart in Amazon, but I wanted to check here and see what everyone else is using or doing (if modding the cupholders instead). The fronts are okay, but even they don't work very well for some of the cups we happen to use. So enough rambling. I would appreciate any ideas.
  13. First, welcome to the forum. Did you actually check the battery? If not, start there. How old is the battery? Did you check the connections, make sure they're clean and all? Let us know.
  14. First, welcome to the forum. And, just wanted to let you know, in case you didn't catch it. This post was from 10 years ago. No big deal, but just wanted to let you know.
  15. Welcome to the forum. Gremlins like this can be difficult to nail down. Unfortunately, many times the only way to do it is to have the dealer keep the car until one of these things happen. And yeah, that is not very practical. So unless the car throws a code, you may be chasing these ghosts for a while. More comments should be interesting. Good luck with this, and keep us posted if you do find something.
  16. That is an excellent write-up. I may be having some issues, but I haven't had the car long enough yet to really test it. It did do something funky yesterday, and my wife saw it on the screen, but I did not, and it was all good when I looked. Anyway, I'll keep watch on this to see how it went.
