2020 Ford Edge Titanium tire replacement
edjunior replied to Ellen Marchese's topic in Wheels & Tires
Give it a little time. I've had some Michelin's that felt "squirrely" also, but went away after a few days of decent driving. It's happened on at least a couple of cars I previously owned. If after a while it doesn't go away, I would pursue it further. But I think the tires will eventually "adjust" themselves. -
Amen to this. That damn visor is a pain on so many vehicles. The one on my F-250 is actually great, and the one on my 2015 Dodge Charger was pretty good also. Though at times, the sun managed to find a little peephole on the Charger, just to piss me off!

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?
edjunior replied to WWWPerfA_ZN0W's topic in Accessories & Modifications
C'mon man, no pictures? Of the painted shifter. Heck, and the snow. -
Welcome to the forum Cynthia. Start with the easy stuff first. In this case, the battery. If you can get it out, take it somewhere and have it checked (Autozone, O'Reilly's, etc.). Also, if you can get a code reader, see if any codes are stored. I'm guessing there will be some. Let us know what you find out there, and we can go from there.

DVD Player Remote / Wireless Headphones Included?
edjunior replied to mdawg4010's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Welcome to the forums KoKo. I just wanted to make sure you are aware that you are replying to a post that is 6 years old (2018). You may or may not get a reply from Ed. Just wanted you to know. Again, welcome. -
I'm not sure if there is an answer to your specific question. Unfortunately, it may be time to suck up your loss and toss in the towel. I have had to do that, once on a really nice Lincoln Continental. Anyway, I hope someone may have a solution for you, but just be prepared to call it.

I do pretty much the same thing. See the VA once a year (or so), and use Tricare the rest of the time. However, I will turn 65 in February, so I will be transitioning to Medicare A and B, and Tricare for Life (TFL). Other vets I have talked with locally have their healthcare set up this way and have no issues. I am 60 percent VA disabled (sleep apnea and tinnitus), so keeping the VA in the loop is good. They also have free hearing aids, which is fantastic. So, we'll see how the transition to Medicare goes soon. I'm sure it will be fine, but I just hate having to change something that is working just fine.

If you have no experience working on cars, I would highly recommend you take it to a dealer, or a local mechanic. You could very quickly get in over your head, especially when dealing with electrical issues. If you insist on bombarding the forum with questions, that's okay, just be aware that you may have to wait a bit for someone knowledgeable in that particular area to answer.

Is your car still under warranty. If so, I would get it in to the dealer and let them fix this. That's what the warranty is for.

Oh man, I am almost there also. At 65 I am still able to grow my hair long (and did), it's just a different color now. Dammit! I just need to fire up a doobie and sit back and relax. Dammit, I can't even do that. Legally. Yet.

AC Compressor bracket missing
edjunior replied to Pbear74's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
My guess is no. Since that is attached to the block, it looks like replacement of the block is the only fix. I had a similar issue with my son's Nissan Altima. One of the mounting spots for the belt tensioner pulley broke off, and the mechanic wouldn't touch it. It really sucked, the engine otherwise ran great. But it was a lost cause. -
AM Radio Reception 2015 Edge
edjunior replied to Dmtaurus's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
What is this "AM" radio that you are talking about? It seems I have heard mention of it, but it slips the mind. Oh heck, just funnin' with you. I haven't listenet to AM radio in so long, I just don't know much about it anymore. I've had my Edge now for a year, and have never listened to it. I've had my truck since 2019 and I think I turned it on once or twice just to see if it was really there. That being said, I don't think the antenna for AM is in the sail. There's just not enough there to provide any good reception. I suspect it's like a windshield antenna or something similar. Anyway, we'll hang out and see if someone comes along that knows. -
I don't understand. If it's still under factory warranty, it should be all covered under that warranty. Am I missing something here?

Well, I'm all for technology and stuff, but sometimes it is just plain easier to read the paper manual. Espcially as my eyes just aren't what they used to be (you know...I got 4 eyes, and none of 'em work right!). But I suppose like everything, we'll just have to get used to it. Of course the "paperless environment" was supposed to happen over 20 yeaes ago, but hey, whose counting!

Banging on the starter to make it turn over and finally start the car. Sitting on the fender to change that starter.

I have it on my 2016, and use it all the time. My wife really likes it. I can see the accidental tripping of it and all, but still, we have had no problem with it.

Well, that's really up to you. If the fans are good, there is really no need to change them. On the other hand, consider that they are 13 years old, and it might be good to replace them, especially if they are not that much more. That way you you know it's good to go. Good luck, and welcome to the forum!

Is it possible to save the OEM Blue Oval?
edjunior replied to Chipster's topic in Appearance - Detailing, Wash & Wax
I had an old Chevy Trailblazer that the empblem really drooped and faded. But of all my Fords, none have done it yet. -
Well, after a year now on the site, I have earned a badge! I'm a "Newbie". I guess I'm not sure how the badging/ranking system workes on this site, but it seems to me after a year, I should have advanced further than the lowest ranking badge of Newbie. The next badge is a "Rookie". Boy, I have a long way to go under this system!

Welcome to the forum. Which way is the shock? Good or bad?

First, welcome to the forum! I have the Aries retractable running boards on my F-250, and have no complaints with them. I never even thought about running boards on my Edge, but I suppose you couldn't go wrong with the Aries on it!

How to turn radio off and back on..
edjunior replied to Termin8r's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
I had the pickup and delivery last time I had my truck in for service. They call it "Red Cap" service here (I think). They came and picked up the truck, had it about a week (I had some recall stuff done, and oil and other stuff done), and brought it back to my house. My wife was ecstatic. She hates driving, especially where this dealer is (hard to get in and out of). So, no more having her tail me to the dealer anymore! And no more me having to listen to her whine about it!
