  1. Is your car still under warranty. If so, I would get it in to the dealer and let them fix this. That's what the warranty is for.
  2. Oh man, I am almost there also. At 65 I am still able to grow my hair long (and did), it's just a different color now. Dammit! I just need to fire up a doobie and sit back and relax. Dammit, I can't even do that. Legally. Yet.
  3. My guess is no. Since that is attached to the block, it looks like replacement of the block is the only fix. I had a similar issue with my son's Nissan Altima. One of the mounting spots for the belt tensioner pulley broke off, and the mechanic wouldn't touch it. It really sucked, the engine otherwise ran great. But it was a lost cause.
  4. What is this "AM" radio that you are talking about? It seems I have heard mention of it, but it slips the mind. Oh heck, just funnin' with you. I haven't listenet to AM radio in so long, I just don't know much about it anymore. I've had my Edge now for a year, and have never listened to it. I've had my truck since 2019 and I think I turned it on once or twice just to see if it was really there. That being said, I don't think the antenna for AM is in the sail. There's just not enough there to provide any good reception. I suspect it's like a windshield antenna or something similar. Anyway, we'll hang out and see if someone comes along that knows.
  5. I don't understand. If it's still under factory warranty, it should be all covered under that warranty. Am I missing something here?
  6. Well, I'm all for technology and stuff, but sometimes it is just plain easier to read the paper manual. Espcially as my eyes just aren't what they used to be (you know...I got 4 eyes, and none of 'em work right!). But I suppose like everything, we'll just have to get used to it. Of course the "paperless environment" was supposed to happen over 20 yeaes ago, but hey, whose counting!
  7. Banging on the starter to make it turn over and finally start the car. Sitting on the fender to change that starter.
  8. I have it on my 2016, and use it all the time. My wife really likes it. I can see the accidental tripping of it and all, but still, we have had no problem with it.
  9. Well, that's really up to you. If the fans are good, there is really no need to change them. On the other hand, consider that they are 13 years old, and it might be good to replace them, especially if they are not that much more. That way you you know it's good to go. Good luck, and welcome to the forum!
  10. I had an old Chevy Trailblazer that the empblem really drooped and faded. But of all my Fords, none have done it yet.
  11. Well, after a year now on the site, I have earned a badge! I'm a "Newbie". I guess I'm not sure how the badging/ranking system workes on this site, but it seems to me after a year, I should have advanced further than the lowest ranking badge of Newbie. The next badge is a "Rookie". Boy, I have a long way to go under this system!
  12. I have not had any problems with mine. Even my wife likes it, and that is pretty unusual.
  13. Welcome to the forum. Which way is the shock? Good or bad?
  14. I love the feature. I use it all the time. Yeah, you can have an oops now and then, but man, it sure comes in handy with hands full of whatever and just kick under the bumper and open the back up. Oh well, all good thins have to come to an end I suppose.
  15. First, welcome to the forum! I have the Aries retractable running boards on my F-250, and have no complaints with them. I never even thought about running boards on my Edge, but I suppose you couldn't go wrong with the Aries on it!
  16. I had the pickup and delivery last time I had my truck in for service. They call it "Red Cap" service here (I think). They came and picked up the truck, had it about a week (I had some recall stuff done, and oil and other stuff done), and brought it back to my house. My wife was ecstatic. She hates driving, especially where this dealer is (hard to get in and out of). So, no more having her tail me to the dealer anymore! And no more me having to listen to her whine about it!
  17. Uh, wait. So you're saying there is no more keyless entry? Is this just for the ST (I assume your '24 is an ST)? I don't use the keyless entry a lot, but when I do, it is damn handy. I would miss it. Is it still an option for add-on?
  18. Everything looks good except for removing the Edge. It makes the ST look a little lopsided. And it looks "empty", like something is missing. This is just my opinion.
  19. My '16 Titanium is a little wonky with the last music played. Same in my F-250.
  20. It sounds like a blend door issue. Either the blend door, or maybe the module for it. I don't know how to diagnose or track down, but the symptoms sound familiar to those reported on the F-250 forum I'm on. Not as much for the newer trucks, but it was a fairly common issue on the older trucks, including the 2011s. I had to have mine replaced on my 2008 Was about $800 back then (2010). Hopefully someone will be along shortly with some additional info.
  21. Ah..got it. Thanks for the clarification. I can see this certaily being an issue.
  22. Welcome. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Someone will be along shortly with an answer.
  23. Do you still have a factory warranty on this? Why don't you take it in and make some good use of the warranty?
  24. Okay, I think I see. I re-read your post, and I think you are saying the Ford Pass App came along in 2016 (or so), but the functionality for door lock/unlock/start, didn't actually appear until 2019. I wonder if it is a module that can be added, or a setting in Forscan?
  25. dabangsta - so you're saying the 2016 should have the ability to start/lock/unlock from an app? I have it on my 2019 F-250, and it works great I added the Edge to that app, but it does not have the start/lock/unlock stuff on it like the truck. Is it a different app that enables it? If so, which app will do this?
