Had all 4 replaced due to lip corrosion. Part# 8T4Z*1007*C is this the part number of the new chrome clad wheels that are from the different supplier Lacks ? I don't want the same junk rims that I had because they will corrode again.

So what exactly has to be done? Can we do it ourselves or does it require a factory reprogram of the pcm ?

New rims being installed as I type. They look the same as the oldies but not corroded! We'll see how they hold up.......at least until next winter....

Damn Lex, was your welder blind. I made better beads on my first attempt at welding. They do look strong though and you'll never see them. Hope it solves your issue.

I agree they are slightly uncomfortable, but they lean forward towards the back of your head in case of a rear collision. They prevent your head from snapping back essentially breaking your neck. Sometimes safe isn't always comfortable.

Anybody have the new part number 18" chrome clad rims replaced on their edge ?

That rear camera set-up is the Shizzz ! Did you do the install of the H/U ? If not, how much was the install and how long did it take. How do you know the speakers are different ?

The outer rim is clear coat aluminum which is where the weights are attached. The plastic is fine.

I'm having all 4 rims replaced due to the corrosion of the outer aluminum rim on Friday. Has anyone else had theirs replaced with the supposed new part number and manufacturer ? If so, did you notice any difference with the new rims. Also, is it possible to use the stick on weights with the new rims?
