  1. How can someone not see the high mounted brake lights on each side of the vehicle, and the LED third brake light on top of the rear window ??? People scare me.
  2. I thought this topic meant something totally different.....
  3. That shelby certainly isn't a trailer queen. Sweet !!!!!!!!!!!
  4. If a paid that much for a kit and had to grind my hood, I would return it in a heartbeat.
  5. Geez, the Edge is my wifes and I don't get into all the technical crap with bluetooth....that is her domain. Thanks for the replies.
  6. So, in order for the 911 assist to work, your cell phone has to be on and hooked up to sync via bluetooth ? Provided, like stated above, the phone survives the crash. I was under the impression it did work like on-star.
  7. This car is so damn sweet looking.....people pay attention to it and not driving Glad everyone is ok. 35 mph is fast considering your wife was stopped and that dumb broad didn't even hit the brakes. Nice to know the Edge handled it nicely.
  8. Thanks man, I will definitely stay away from that system. I have a cheapo whole house filter installed and this thing turns dark brown in 2 months so I guess it's doing some good.
  9. What do you know about the rainsoft system? All I know is I would have to sell one of my nuts to afford it.
  10. Someone tell me where I can get those rims !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. What size are they ? I want those rims !
  12. Where did those rims come from !!!!!!! ?
  13. Isn't this exactly what I stated above
  14. I "read the directions" I do not wash one fender then rinse, wash the door handle then rinse, wash the antenna then rinse.......This kit is a waste of time, it just filters the water to remove the minerals that cause spotting. There is no magic solution. I can piss out more than the rinse setting on this piece of garbage. Like I said, filter the incoming water supply and use a leaf blower to dry.
  15. After the muffler was painted, this voided any warranty he may have had with the muffler.
  16. I will have my wife tell the service manager of this upgrade when we are having our 4 new rims installed due to corrosion of the outer clear coated aluminum rim. I will gladly pay $50 bucks if this upgrade would save my wifes/ 5 month old daughters life in the event of, god forbid, a crash.
  17. oh contrair duck.........Taking off provides less hot, less dense air from being sucked into the engine. This hot air is recycled into the motor being burned off producing less emissions. Dealers do not, and I repeat do not put a dressing on engine componets to make them "look new"........they are new ! I agree about taking the car to the dealer, but he was looking for info before doing so. PCV or positive crankcase ventilation is for emissions only.......anyone who tells you different is lying, or have no idea about the workings of an internal combustion engine. I was merely suggesting to check the obvious before taking it in for service. You say "there are many benefits from having it " please explain these "benefits" as I am always looking for new information to prove me wrong, I miss the days when valve covers just had vents to vent the hot un-usable air into the atmosphere.
  18. What securinu said, he knows his shit and won't rip you off. Screw circuit city........those installers are a bunch of pot-heads who install junk subs in honda civics with half primer paint. Besides, they are out of business and don't give a shit. These businesses thrive on ignorance of the customers and securinu is offering a good deal and honest work..........which is hard to comeby these days. I'm not calling you igorant by any means, I have installed stereo systems on cars before, but not this complicated. I would leave this to the pros, but sometimes becoming educated on the subject will save you money and headaches. There is no better feeling then installing something yourself and reaping the benefits. I have read many posts by securinu, and believe me, I see right thorough bullshit, and he spews no bullshit. This forum is for information to save us money and have the job done right the first time.
  19. You can also check for leaks by having your driveway paved........I mean c'mon, we put a man on the moon in'69 and your still driving on a dirt driveway. BTW, GM is going out of business, so good luck with your new GM and obtaining warranty service once they have gone belly-up.
  20. I hear ya lex, but you should never have to grind metal off your hood to make it close properly. I am surprised at these findings, due to steeda proucts being tested and tested again. Aftermarket parts will rarely "fit like stock" The tune will adjust the air/fuel ratio curve due to the more amount of air the motor is taking in, however, this amount of air is minimal and the stock cpu should compensate for this just fine. Steedas tune, or any for that matter, will increase the timing a tad which will improve performance but my necessitate the use for a higher octane fuel due to the increased timing. remember, the higher the octane fuel, the less explosive it is at a lower compression ratio. Increasing the timing increases the compression ratio which requires a higher octane fuel. Any "tune" that is done and does not require you to run a higher octane fuel is BS, plain and simple. In my own opinion, unless you are running a turbo or supercharger, these mods are completely useless. These motors can only take in so much air/fuel and they are calibrated perfectly from the factory to make the most Hp and Torqe that they can. I would strongly suggest to never mess with these componets. Gains are minimal at best, and may void your warranty.
  21. HID's are garbage....sounds like a bad ballast if the bulb is good. Good luck obtaining warranty coverage.
