enigma-2
I'm having the hardest time seeing my instrument readout in my 09 MKX during daylight hours. Been that way since I bought it. Is this item supposed to be backlit when the headlights are off (I have my DRL's turned on, but that doesn't make any difference.) omar302
Did you try the Dimmer Panel Switch or re-calibrating it?From the Owners Manual: PANEL DIMMER CONTROLUse to adjust the brightness of the instrument panel and all applicable switches in the vehicle during headlamp and parking lamp operation.Move the control to the full upright position, past detent, to turn on the interior lamps.Certain displays like the message center and the climate control unit do not change with the dimmer control till the dash-mounted sensor senses full night conditions.Note: If the battery is disconnected, discharged, or a new battery is installed, the dimmer switch requires re-calibration. Rotate the dimmer switch from the full dim position to the full Dome/ON position to reset. This will ensure that your displays are visible under all lighting conditions.
JACKIE
My 2008 Edge display was difficult for my husband to see also. We never didn't find a solution. Poor lighting wasn't enough contrast or something.
Kitulu
If the sunlight is beaming directly onto the cluster, I cannot really see mine all that well, either.
