Then they use 235 65 r17 winter tires instead of 235 60 r18 winter tires. I have also read that 18" is the minimal size since the brakes are too large for 17" wheels. Gadgetjq Posted September 16, 2019 Report Share Posted September 16, 2019 (edited) I just checked TireRack.com and they don't list a 17" wheel for the Edge (they do show 18, 19, 20, 21) so my guess would be no. It's easy enough for you to check though. Measure the clearance from the brake caliper to the inside edge of your 18" wheel. If it's a half inch (13mm) or less then the answer is a hard no. As an alternative, go back to wherever you saw someone claiming they've mounted a 17" wheel and ask them about it. Cheers! Not sure if 17" wheels will fit on newer Edges ('15-'19) … They did fit on older ones ('06 -'14) I know because my father-in-law has an '07 MKX with 17's on it. Claude.
