I absolutely love mine!!! It exceeded my expectations in almost every manner, that being gas mileage. But I can't complain because it's still better than my Explorer I had before this. It also might be the way I drive!!? LOL

I have a question about orders and deliveries. Does Ford prioritize which dealers get vehicles before others? Do "A" dealers get vehicles before "B" dealers?? I have had an MKX on order for 8 weeks and as of today it is still "clean and unscheduled". I find this unusual when on this site I find, among others, an Edge ordered Jan 26 and produced Feb 20th. Thanks.

From what I understand, all dealerships are allocated a certain number of MKX's per month. This applies to all dealership in North America, not just large dealerships. So if your dealership had a lot of MKX's ordered prior to yours...chances are, their allocation is used up for awhile. [i may be wrong here, but that's the way I understood it]

It was about 5 weeks between the order date and the date my MKX got serialized. The reason it took so long was because of the lack of allocation.

Unless an employee on here can help you out further, you probably need to call customer relations and see what the deal is. On the order sheet, what priority was the order (should be 10-15)?

I'll agree w/ you on the Gas Millage. I know I drive TONS of city however I've haven't been over 15-16 one time. Now, I do have an automatic starter and only have about 1300 miles on it but I've been a little disappointed w/ this. Last week I tried to only use the automatic starter for 5 minutes to keep it from idling so long in my driveway and it did seem to help a little bit. I reset the MPG every time I fill up now to get a accurate reading. I just don't know. If I could of saved $50-$75 a month and got another SUV I'm starting to think the $$$$$$ would of been a used towards gas and I probably would still be ahead. I love my edge and that car has to be the quietest and best Ford I've ever been in (well, not as fun as my 2002 Mustang GT) I just hope ford works on the gas millage issue because I've been avoiding that question every time I'm asked.

Bill
