In Sport mode, if you shift manually it'll stay in manual mode and the display will remain on until you exit manual mode. Oh well, Not a necessity but would be cool This is only a guess, the current gear indicator on the dash simply displays information it receives. So when the transmission is in manual shift mode the PCM sends the current gear info to the cluster. The Tuner would program the PCM so it sends this info all the time, not only during manual mode. Tuners and Forscan can only change data values so it depends on whether the PCM code uses a flag to tell it to send the gear indication or if it's part of the code logic.
