jasoneg
My 2014 Edge has a blindspot system fault AND cross traffic system fault. The alerts show up every time I turn on the car (tried to upload pics but wont work). Is this something that has to be fixed by the dealer? Is there a way to fix myself? Unfortunately both dealers near me have bad reputations. i know they would probably charge me something outrageous. ALSO, is there a module on the left side and right? Or just one. enigma-2
Need to pull the codes to figure out where the fault lies. Continuous codes indicate either a shorted or blockage of one of the sensors.

For codes, a standard reader won't read such codes, you need something that can read Ford specific codes (enhanced codes). Best thing is to use ForScan with a compatible adapter like the OBDLink MX+. Ok. I’ll have to look into that. I did check all the sensors (back up) and they all work. Just the BLIS and cross traffic on the pass side. Probably that module behind the bumper on the pass side. I was rear ended a few years ago and it started acting up a few months after the wreck. Probably related. The modules say “set aside if dropped “. Sounds fragile. Im having a similar issue in my 2011 mkx. It doesnt do it every time and its sporadic. When mine acts up it also kills my climate control. Any ideas? jokerswild Posted yesterday at 03:58 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 03:58 AM Any update to any of these, I've been having these exact issues for nearly a year so long that it fried my bcm and had to be replaced.
Samurai Edge
These cars are full of all kinds of sensors. They are on 24/7, even when the car is shut off. Have you checked your battery power? When my battery was low, unknown to me, the car kept telling me that I need to either shut the car off or start the engine, even though I had driven the car for a day or two. Others have had their door unlock ( when you touch the door handle ) fail to work. It seems the issue arises randomly, not always the same exact issue appears.
