Playing music from external source

Is it possible to have the entertainment system in my 2024 edge st play music from an external mp3 player?  Lots of long drives through Nevada that would be much more pleasant if that would work.

Might depend on the MP3 player, but most MP3 players and USB thumb drives with music, when connected via the USB port, should be usable yes.

I would just copy the music to a thumb drive and use that. I didn't know MP3 players were still a thing. Smart phones pretty much rendered them obsolete.

There's also Sirius XM.  Not as high fidelity, but good selection of categories.

They aren't obsolete for those of us who don't want our music interrupted by texts, notifications and phone calls all the time and want to listen to music that isn't available on Spotify. 

I usually keep about eight iPods in my Edge - seven Nanos and a Touch. The Nanos play perfectly, the Touch can be a bit buggy sometimes but unfortunately Sync 3 can't cope with any of my iPod Classics, even those with an SSD conversion.
