Apparently Ford is uploading this information; without written approval and if you like it or not. Isn't this an invasion of one's privacy? Via SYNC? Is there any way to turn this off? curlysir Posted January 30, 2011 Report Share Posted January 30, 2011 Mine is based on mileage I have entered and miles per day or year on the update screen. If they are tracking my Edge they are behind at the moment. There is even a service record from my last oil change that has a higher mileage then what the site shows. nextime Posted February 1, 2011 Report Share Posted February 1, 2011 My 1998 Windstar has has been reporting mileage that has been increasing, funny how it has been sitting at the dealer in the same spot since October and it has no way to contact Ford by its self! This is just an mileage estimate calculator that is on the Ford Website. My 2011 Edge has been doing this too and I do not have the SYNC radio, just the base CD player radio I have.
