  1. Here is a great brush I picked up at Meijer in Detroit. It is microfiber with foam on the inside. It's great for getting in the crevices! It was like $3 too!
  2. I just wish Ford gave a shit about Canada. It's obvious they don't when it comes to all things Sync.
  3. I saw this article and a few pics of the facelifted MKS: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-31166_7-57326971-271/lincoln-streamlines-the-2013-mks-mkt/ I am not a fan of the new grille design. I miss the chrome. It looks like they've tried to downplay it almost. I get that in the MKT, its grille is ugly proportionally, but the MKS always looked good. Obviously personal taste in looks is going to vary greatly. I just wondered what people thought of this change. It will probably make it to the MKX as well I'm assuming. I hope not.
  4. akirby, I agree with you. Before you wrote this, I was going to post that it's silly to get all anxious over something that we don't know how it will perform. Be patient and hopeful that Ford will finally get this right. Having shitty JD Power scores is a huge kick in the teeth that they do not want to repeat. That is their biggest source of motivation is to get those numbers back to where they were.
  5. Other than inspecting the actual mechanism to make sure there is nothing binding or whatever, you have done exactly what I would have. Does it close easily when you did it by hand?
  6. On the MKX, it is currently a 3 stage system. Is it not on the Edge? I would have assumed they'd be the same.
  7. In the Detroit area, WCSX (94.7) has an incredible HD station. Their programming is awesome and I listen to it all the time. Weather (rain or a lot of clouds) does seem to affect it somewhat. This was a big plus for me getting the MKX. My wife's new Durango does not have it and I miss it when I'm in her vehicle.
  8. I concur with Dingo on the Aquapel. It's an amazing product and has no detremental effect with the rain sensing wipers.
  9. I just got my new MKX and was playing with the voice commands... When you shout out "Soul", it plays soul music. When you shout out "Rock", it plays rock music. While i was driving, some kids ran in front of my car, and I shouted "f**king kids!", and it played Michael Jackson!!
  10. Congrats on your new ride.
  11. Mine is 11 months old. They are holding up great. I have coated mine with CQuartz and have then recently (a month or 2 ago) topped them with Permanon. They shed water and dirt like crazy.
  12. John, I thought the same thing when I looked at the climate screen. I just assume it will be different for the MKX as it is not even an available option on the other vehicle. I sure as Hell hope they finally can make the seat heaters turn on and off via voice!! I'll tell you another thing: if they wanted honest feedback from some real enthusiasts, all they had to do was to come here and ask away!!
  13. I walked in on my dyslexic friend yesterday to find him putting black shoe polish all over his penis. I said "No, Dumbass, I said to turn your clock back"!!
  14. Us beta-testers can rejoice. This is great news, and welcomed news. Now hurry up with that damned USB, LOL.
  15. If they are rust spots or fallout, a product called IronX will do it beautifully. You can get it at Autogeek (for Americans) or EShine (for Canadians).
  16. Tell us something we don't know, lol. Thanks for posting that.
  17. Onewomanarmy, IronX is an amazing product. Live2detail.com has a comprehensive review on it. It basically replaces clay. OptiCoat is not for beginners. I would recommend CQuartz or Element119 instead. Probably CQ more. L2D has lots of info on all of them.
  18. You just took the glass from 1/2 empty to 1/2 full, LOL.
  19. Steam cleaning is the most powerful tool for interiors. Nothing can survive steam. No germ, nothing. You are also using no chemicals so you get no resulting odors either. You just steam the surface and wipe dry with a micro fiber towel. Steam is great for getting stains out of carpeting too. It cleans leather well too. If you have a bad odor to eliminate from the vehicle, there is an extremely potent (but absolutely safe) product called SoPure by Carpro. It is available at Autogeek and eshine for US and Canadians. It is a fascinating product that is light-activated. I have recommended it to several people who have permanently removed odors such as old milk and fish.
  20. I just want mine to talk dirty to me....
  21. I suggest you get a specific glass mf towel. I use Zep glass cleaner that you can get at Home Depot. Other than that I'm not sure what to suggest for you guys.
